Hearn and Joshua are starting to sound more and more like ODLH and Canelo did in the negotiations with team G.

Hearn is handling these negotiations differently than before, and that can't be disputed because he says so himself with his stated position of no longer 'overpaying'. It's a pity he's chosen this moment to adopt a new philosophy because it means the Wilder fight is harder to make - by his own admission - and the chance of AJ becoming undisputed champion and realising his dream is fading. Povetkin's place on the AJ vs Parker undercard (and introducing him to the wider Joshua fan base) was a clear signpost to Hearn's future strategy, that much is clear now.

That said, Wilder's team has gone mute (in public at least), so it's hard to say how they are smoothing the fight's path or otherwise...

Deontay Wilders opponents since becoming World Champion (3 Years)
    • Eric Molina ( WBC Defence )
    • Johann Duhaupas ( WBC Defence )
    • Artur Szpilka ( WBC Defence )
    • Chris Arreola ( WBC Defence )
    • Gerald Washington ( WBC Defence )
    • Bermane Stiverne ( WBC Defence )
    • Luis Ortiz ( WBC Defence )

Anthony Joshuas Opponents since becoming World Champion (2 Years)
    • Dominic Breazeale ( IBF Defence )
    • Eric Molina ( IBF Defence )
    • Wladimir Klitschko ( WBA, IBO, IBF Unification )
    • Carlos Takam ( WBA, IBO, IBF Defence )
    • Joseph Parker ( WBA, WBO, IBO, IBF Unification )
Judging by that, who do you think has the bigger ambitions in boxing? Who do you think wants all the belts? Theres one person who hasnt been fighting the best since he became World Champion and thats Deontay Wilder, Anthony Joshua has no reason too duck a man when hes already beating the best in the division time and time again. On the other hand we have a guy whos only just stepped up too elite level after 40 fights, maybe after another 40 he will be ready.

Youve got one promotional team reaching out, making contact, youve got another promotional team who wont even reply and are negotiating with other people whilst keeping Joshuas name in their mouth to keep publicity.

WAIT TILL EDDIE HEARN IS IN NEW YORK NEXT WEEK, NO MORE RUNNING NO MORE DUCKING NO MORE DODGING

How can it be a duck when they are the only side putting forward an offer?

    Still nothing from Wilder.

you guys have fun playing business man. i don't give a damn which guy gets paid what. they both are getting far more than they are worth. i for one will be glad when these athletes finally tip the scales past the breaking point and entire sports start going under.

yours is a bad analogy too. wilder is defending champ at the us open according to how you put things, not a qualifier from itf.

How is my analogy bad when I was using of your analogy? You were the one comparing it to tennis, I simply applied how tennis actually works to your poor analogy. And champions from a tournament still have to go through the rounds to qualify for a place in the final they don't just play in the ITF and expect to get a place in a GS final and a huge pay day like Wilder is trying to do.

Great reply, covered all the pertinent points. Loved how you step by step took apart each part of my post to prove your point of view, smh.

Your post was the equivalent of blowing a raspberry and running away, lol.

wilder has a belt, he isn't an itf like guy. that is how your analogy is bad. his belt is more valid than the first one joshua won.

Joshua has a **** resume, so does Wilder, Parker, Fury, etc. the division is garbage. that is why guys hovering around forty like Wlad, Povetkin, Ortiz, Pulev are stll relevant.
