    Devon Alexander's
    This content is protected
mananger/trainer, Kevin Cunningham, says Timothy Bradley needs to settle business at 140-pounds before he thinks about making a title run at 147 or 154. Bradley, the WBO champion at junior welterweight, is moving up to 147-pounds on July 17 against Carlos Abregu. Bradley has expressed interest in facing WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto, WBO champion Manny Pacquiao and even WBA junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto....Alexander returns on August 7,defending his WBC/IBF 140 pnd belts against former champion ANDREAS KOTELNIK. He would like to fight Bradley before the year is out::::::::::::::"Instead of bradley talking about going up to junior middleweight with Cotto or middleweight Paul Williams....Thats crazy. You have a big fight right here with the only unified in your division. Prove yourself at 140 first and those other big fights will be there." As far as team ALEXANDER is concerned,140-pnd is not big enough for the 2 of us. we want to get in the ring and show the world that DEVON is the best 140 pound in the world,Tim bradley is just claimimg to be the best 140 pounder in the world.................... LET'S GET IN ON,TO SEE WHO'S THE TOP DOG AT 140!

Look, i understand that team Alexander doesn't want to see a big fight with Bradley slip away from them, but let's be honest here: the bigger -and more financially rewarding- challenges are up at 147, and if Bradley bypasses an Alexander fight in favour of a Berto fight, you really can't knock him. I geuss if Alexander runs out of big fight possibilities he's just gonna have to go after him.

Alexander should just stfu about bradley for awhile and build his own resume cuz there are plenty of competition at 140. BOth Bradley and Alexander, especially Alexander are unproven imo. Beating sum slow bum ass Urango isnt much to begin with although he did it in impressive fashion.

Bradley is being crap. To begin with, economically i don't think the Berto fight has better money than Alexander. Fight fans aren't that naive, they know that after 2010 the hot division is 140 - or as other puts it, 140 is the new 147.

There's no harm in fighting other guys at 147 (or wherever) whilst waiting for the likes of Alexander and Khan to notch up good wins of their own, and build their profiles up. These match-ups have sooooo much potential; therefore it would be foolish to rush in to them now, and generate hype and money that will be considerably lower than what it can and will be in 12/18 months time.

Alexander should just clean out 140.
Let Bradley and Khan move up, they both wont land Pac or Mayweather.
Devon can look ultra impressive against lesser opponents at 140 and build
his own name, definately has the talent to go places.

If Bradley wants to move up in weight for financial reasons, then so be it. Khan and Alexander will soon follow anyway. These guys will be the future of the WW div.

Why are people criticizing Bradley for wanting to take on a bigger and badder Berto? Since when did Alexander become untouchable at 140? That's same as saying Leonard fought Duran, Benitez, and Hearns to duck Pryor.

Im not a fan of Bradley but i praise him for challenging himself against bigger guys like Abregu and Berto.. It's better than an alexander fight.

It's ashame that Bradley thinks that he's now a star in which he believe he deserve a big fights right now vs the likes of Mayweather, Pacquiao, Cotto. Clean out your division first before fighting the big names.

Berto is a much tougher fight than alexander you idiot. And the Abregu fight is a dangerous one and bradley could lose this one.

Alexander needs to do more than knocking out some one dimensional bum like Urango.

R rated Kendall would absolutely murder Alexander. He lucky that HOlt is fighting at 147 now.

Tell that to Alexander. Instead of following bradley around like a puppy, why not fight other guys? 140 is pretty stacked at the moment and there are alot of good matchups to be made. It's not like Bradley is scared to fight him. He's out there trying to fight bigger and better fighters than alexander.. He just marinating the fight.

You're an idiot. One dimensional bum? The same same so called "bum" that Berto beat in a very boring fight? You know why it was boring? Cause Berto ran like a coward and then hold like theres tommorow in which he was scared to get hit by a so called "bum". Alexander became the first man to tko Urango something both Hatton and Berto couldn't come close of doing.

Abregu<<<< He's not a bum? But Urango is? Am i missing something here?

Kendall Holt? The same Holt that fought freaking Torres twice or 3 times? The same Holts that his ko record is not very good one but yet knockdown Bradley? lol. Alexander would ko Holts just like he did to Urango.
