I think Team Burns are still hopeful of this Vasquez fight coming off - which, if it does, is only a month away. No point dropping all of that (including preperation) for a fight in June.
This fight will only be valuable to Burns when he can command an equal payday. Broner isn't going to come to Britain, so why should Burns go to America? Burns holds a portion of the World title and could get another, but he shouldn't sell his arse to America, let Broner take the 30% or whatever Burns would get over there.
Well thats ******s for you, I actually made money on a Ricky Burns win. I was going to place it on UD but went for just a win. Ricky was always going to be too good for Mitchell. If you're comparing Mitchell and Katsidis to Broner you're stupid. Broner worst attribute is better than Burns' best. It's essentially a mismatch that looks good because Burns' has a title.
Wassup Dave. But GBP don't have a reputation for shafting boxers and their track record in making big fights proves that (unlike Burns's own promoter). Ricky could be headlining HBO with another HBO date guaranteed like DeMarco got. Morrison is not wanting any part of Broner. It looks like Broner is moving up in weight after his next outing so Ricky will be lucky to ever get another opportunity like this in his career. Shame really.
He was born different and has a chip on his shoulder cos he's Irish which is a shame really as usually the Irish are alright!
And if he loses to Vasquez he gets naff all. There is a good chance that Broner is moving up in weight and he won't get another chance like this again. At the very least Ricky could be confident that the fight with Broner on HBO will actually happen:yep
The fanboys are back in town! =[yt]?v=oU93u7RhB-U[/yt] As usual the fanboys fail to take the tinted glasses of, take a step back and a deep breathe. Don't look at it as a fan, look at it as a neutral. Then come again.
