nah. Mexican fans and fans in general love fights and good fighters. If Canelo puts on a great show, even in a losing effort, it would still boost his stock.

****, look what it did to Cotto when he lost to Floyd. He made a bunch more fans solely on his effort. Thats how boxing is and how it should always be

Cotto - Alvarez makes sense and Golden Boy can make it easy.

Wouldnt mind seeing Bradley get spanked too.

Canelo was almost crucified(and rightly so) for taking on a former 140lbr but the more proven Cotto seems to be getting a pass here. Interesting:think

what you have said is true. but GBP knows that it would be easier to hype someone who has no blemish on their record. more hype means more money for their cashcow and for them.

cotto-canelo would be the biggest fight that could possibly get made aside from the obvious one. mexico and puerto rico, and both are the biggest stars their country has to offer. cotto should take this one. canelo's lack of top fighters in their prime is going to do him in if he doesnt step it up. cotto at this point is not prime but he's not shot. i'd say he's about 85-90% of what his prime is, and that's still better than anything canelo has seen.

nah. are you comparing bradley to lopez? also, cotto is allowed to take a soft challenge, if you ever think timmy is one, since he has an insane set of resume. the critic of canelo was more because of his comparison to jcc jr. and him fighting a top p4p fighter in martinez.
