Golovkin should ask for Cotto's shriveled testicles as a step aside payment. For Christ sake will nobody with anything to lose man up and face Golovkin?

No doubt the usual Cotto nuthuggers will be out in force defending this move whilst labelling other fighters duckers

I'd give Cotto a pass if he relinquished the belt. No one is expecting a tiny light middle weight to take on a monster like Golovkin. But if you're going to hold the belt you've gotta live up to it's expectations.

Although that said a Cotto V Canelo fight is something I wanna see.

He's not going to relinquish that title. It's the only bargaining chip he has against future bouts with guys like Canelo or Mayweather.

I'm sure he's holding out for one of those 2 guys. I don't really blame him for not fighting GGG, I thought he never should've moved up to 160 anyway. It was too late in his career to make a jump up in weight like that. It's definitely in his best interest not to take on any of the full-fledged MW's, especially a monster like Gennady.

Cotto gets some abuse, he's a ****ing 140 pounder at middleweight, there isn't going to be any easy fights for him. Fighting ggg would be insane. He took a risk in fightin. Martinez that people like may weather avoided and he gets called a coward even more. Him being the champion is a joke but the criticism is way out of hand. ggg would literately kill him , I think geale will even beat him.i want to see ggg quinlin or lee not cotto

Yes he is a warrior and you will always be a virtual irrelevant piece of garbage in comparison.

    ----

On topic. A fight with Golovkin would clearly and obviously favor Golovkin while paying peanuts in return. A Cotto at the end of his career is looking to make some serious cash if he's going to take a risk like this. Golovkin doesn't offer serious cash and won't even make it on PPV. The fact that Golovkin's last fight was his very first serious win says enough.

Didn't he make a career fighting every opponent the fans wanted him to?. He's clearly looking to make some serious money before finally retiring and he deserves it. Golovkin doesn't have a single noteworthy victory to offer serious money. Hell a fight with Golovkin would be lucky to make it on PPV.

    Not gonna happen.

Ppl who have testicles removed, (eunuchs) tend to suffer from unavoidable obesity.

If Cotto gave GGG his testicles as step aside payment he couldnt make LHW and would be forced to campaign at Cruiser.

The guy is trying to drag MWs down to SWW FFS.

How's he gonna fight Cruisers when he won't fight a MW on his own turf.:think

HBO has CLEARLY and unequivocally stated that Cotto vs Golovkin would be a PPV.:nono

MOF......GGG brings a guarantee of 2 million to the table in HBO $$$ for him and his opponent, plus gate, etc.

There's no doubt in my mind that Roc, who has promised Cotto X amount of dollars would demand no less than 10+ mil for airing their fighter, while K2 would demand no less than 3+ mill.

Thats 13 mil in HBO $$$, BEFORE PPV.

The PPV would easily do 600K buys at $50, and maybe 1 million at $39.

Do the math. So long as GGG takes the 25% mandatory $$$$ for this fight, he makes $8 million for the fight, while Cotto is paid most handsomely at $25 million.

Sure he could fight Canelo and make similar $$$, and even at $50 it would still likely exceed the 750K buys, but what would the revenue split have to be to get Canelo on board?:think

Oscar would want no less than 50/50 for his fighter, and Cotto would be fighting a guy who very naturally fights at 157, whereas GGG would be forced to dig a little deeper in camp to make that weight. :thumbsup
