Before the Haye fight Enzo Calzaghe was more vocal than his fighter was about the prospect of meeting Haye.

    Claiming Haye can't punch.
    Haye was nothing speical.
Haye would get such a beating retirement would be the best option.

After the fight when Enzo Calzghes words were proved to be worthless
    what went wrong?

David Haye himself believes Enzo Maccarennlli would benefit from a new trainer and that Enzo Calzaghe is all wrong for him

It was nothing to do with trainers. Enzo was the best thing that ever happened to Maccarinelli. He changed him from a crude brawler into a respectable stand up boxer. Why did he do this? Maccarinelli has a bad chin, and the brawling style was leaving him open to getting starched again. Now he fights with a high guard, behind the jab, and is much more disciplined as a result

Haye was simply 2 or 3 levels above him in most areas.

    Thats about it:good

A change of trainer is not going to turn Mac into a P-4-P world beater. He's about as good now as he is ever gonna be. He can still win an alphabet title and bag himself another biggish payday.

apparantly Enzo believes he is still a better fighter than Haye

he watches the Haye fight everyday and still wonders where it went wrong

there were supposed to be problems for him in the week of the fight

and in the fight he made a mistake of putting his chin in the air and dropping his hands

despite training for 10 weeks with chin down and hands up

how did it go so wrong for him on the night

after the hardest prepartion he ever had and the most determined and focused he had ever been

it turned into a nightmare night for Enzo how could this be?

before you say because Haye is better

Maccarenlli does not belive this was reason as he regards himself better than Haye

and kicks himself because he says he could have wan that fight - cos he made Haye stumble back in the 1st round but did not take advantage

Enzo will get the best from Macca and has taken him alot further than anyone expected. I think a change of trainer would be a waste of time but it all depends on the fall out of the Calzaghe's and Warren.

Tough one - Calzaghe turned him into a decent fighter, but can he turn him into a top fighter, genuine top 5 in his weight class.

My answer is no - Enzo is a very overrated trainer, he cashed in on his awards for all they are worth, and is now paying the price when everyone seems to be getting KTFO.

Mac may see himself as better than Haye, but I have to disagree.

I never seen this as the even-money fight some people thought it was. There was never a doubt in my mind that Haye would emerge victorious (well...maybe the hype over his supposedly dodgy chin did play on my mind a tad)

As stated before Haye is just a level or two above Mac. This doesn't mean that Mac is a bad fighter, because he is not. It just means, that in my eyes, Haye's overall skill-set is superior to Mac's

Lee 'The Human Windmill' Swaby - he was on fight night the other week, how Enzo lost to him I will never know, what a load of **** he is!

David Haye is in a different class, fair do's.

I think he has made the correct choice staying with Sports Network - because he would have no chance in the big wide world where everyone is fair game!

You cannot judge Enzo Cal on the Haye fight - that was totally Enzo Macs fault.

Didn't fight to his gameplan & left his chin in the air.

If Haye had outboxed him for 12 round this would have reflected badly on Enzo snr but this was a case of 100% fighters fault.

Enzo Cal has been good for Enzo Mac - without a shadow of a doubt.

did anyone see E. Calzaghe's latest interview where he is saying Pavlik is unworthy and 'dead squid'
Can't stop laughing at him and his bollocks, the guy is just an arsehole.
