Team GGG explains the Ward situation

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Cafe, Aug 20, 2015.

  1. Ward circa Rodriguez fight was dismissing Kovalev & Golovkin & considering Truax & Sartison! He was also suggesting a 160 clash with Mayflower..

Ward got 2 million to fight smith more than any payday GGG has ever got. GGG would get a career high payday if he gets into the ring with Ward. too bad he's not as brave as his fanboys are.

I've not seen a single good point made from Ward fanboys yet other than one person (Shockmaster I believe) saying that he's not the "fight anybody" guy people made him out to be. And that's fair.

One other thing to note here.

The Lemieux fight will be GGG's 16th major title fight.

Ward has had 7 major title fights in his entire career.

Come on, B-Side. Time to step it up. Damn! Dude is still trying to live off of victories from years ago while GGG is #4 pound for pound in the world right now. Today.

I respect Ward's ability, but his business sense is not good. I would have taken the 164, 50/50 and rode that to the moon.

That's fair, I'll give you that. But geez...you can only fight Smith for 2M one time. Then HBO or even BET is going to be outta there!

Ffs we'll have a nuclear treaty with Iran before the Wardophiles and the Golofkiturds agree to disagree.

The financials and weight will have to be worked out with Ward, that if he still decides to stay at 168.
GGG meanwhile is gonna make 4$ mil + in his 1st PPV, then he gets to fight for WBC belt.

If Ward is serious about this then he needs to have 2-3 fights to build this up into a PPV fight by next Fall. But if he moves up to 175 and fights Kovalev then I won't complain.
