Even bigger guys than GGG have entertained it. They know it's not realistic but everyone plays the Floyd lottery.

    Bingo.

For his sake, I hope Ward quits pursuing his PhD from the Winky Wright School of Boxing Business. He's got some serious rebuilding to do to get his name value where it was, and it's going to involve compromises to get there.

Ward schools this overhyped can crusher

  5. State the obvious...

Ward doesn't have a MW title tho does he? No. Hence Lemieux is more relevant to Golovkin right now... Considering the article just stated he is focused on MW.

I totally agree with wanting to unify your division & then a move up. Calzaghe & Kovalev did & are doing so, the same courtesy should be afforded to Golovkin...

If Ward is so relevant then why was he stripped & fighting Paul Smith at a non exsistant weight class? Golovkin is Wards daddy...

  6. Well me obviously... Considering Ward is almost irrelevant at this point & Golovkin is fighting a unification bout at the garden in his natural weight class whilst Ward has been stripped & is fighting Paul Smith at a non exsistant weight class! Even IB wouldn't make a rbr thread on it

Of course Ward has the better resume. I never said otherwise...

Doesn't mean he's a big deal anymore! His time is pretty much over..

    Great times;)

Relevant huh Ward has twice the resume GGG has Abel is just ****ed that Kesselr got owned by Ward when he was in his corner !

He needs to stop all this and man the f up and challenge Ward for his belt at 168 !! All this just mean we will duck him and use this nonsense as the excuse !

Yet Ward still made 2 million fighting Smith more than GGG has made fighting anyone thus far.:hi: His time isn't over he's younger than GGG FFS much to your dismay. I know you wish he would just go away so he would stop haunting you GGG fans like a bad dream. It's okay though we all know why you want him gone.:yep

  9. Can anyone really blame boxers for not wanting to deal & negotiate with the ego that is Ward nowadays? Wants every stipulation in his favour..

Ward is his own enemy! He ruled these guys out years ago & he chose to forego his career & sit in the wilderness for three years! I find his situation hilarious nowadays

  10. That's cos his opponent got paid in peanuts.. Do you think Golovkin would let him earn that type of cut (percentage wise) in a fight with him? Ward earns that cos spastics like you pay for that **** in an effort to keep him relevant & fighting C level shot Paul Smith allows him to pocket most of the revenue...

I have noticed that many of the GGG haters who complain about Golovkin being willing to fight the 2nd best 168lb guy in Froch as his first fight at the weight had nothing but glowing things to say about Garcia taking a light touch like Paulie as his first fight at 147 :conf

The plan to fight Lemieux and then Canelo/Cotto winner is the optimal in terms of finances/legacy etc. Unify your division against big money opponents and then re-assess your options, including moving up to fight, a quality, but unexiting and not widely followed champion.

Fighting Ward makes no sense when his team is planning to unify the Middleweight division against fighters with a much bigger following than Ward.

GGG said he would, have fought Froch and Chavez jr at the full smw limit that's why ..I don't recall Garcia asking Paulie to come down to 144 like GGG did with Ward for a fight at 164 ..

GGG has made a career of fighting C level fighters, where have you been?:deal He hasn't fought one A level fighter yet despite being 33 and that's my biggest gripe with him.
