He has an amateur record that makes Floyd's look silly. Over 300 fights with as little as 5 losses. Even better than Oscar's, which is very impressive. So what you say, it's amateur. But amateur is about boxing skill, you can't rely on power to win most amateur fights, its about scoring points. So make no mistake, GGG is a very savvy, intelligent fighter -- forgetting his ridiculous power that can end a fight upstairs OR downstairs.
GGG is a throw back to the 80s and 90s caliber of fighters IMO.

Yes but Floyd was the easy favorite and most predicted Floyd would win.

Golovkin was just elevated to WBA Super Champion

He won the title in 2010 and has made 10 defences.

Pass that sticky icky thing to the left. :rasta

Probably because Mayweather is an ATG no body in the sport within a reasonable weightclass has been a favorite over Floyd since Corrales, Castillo is considered the best LW in the last 25 yrs so its not like sum bum was the champ.

Explain to me how Ward can't fight Adonis/Sergy in his 2nd weight or GGG can't fight Ward at his 2nd weight but Mayweather is ducking if he doesn't fight GGG even Ward at his 5/6th weight. I personally don't understand the hate he's doing more than both of them combined and is looked at in a worse light.
