    Not surprising.

I called this before the fights Saturday. Hope I'm wrong.

Can you read? At all? He pretty much thinks the fight won't happen by May, so he wants to get a MANDATORY out of the way.

I can't make that any more crystal clear for you.

But do you UNDERSTAND why he's fighting him? I do not think you do.

    Yes, I do.

I'm just consistent in that I feel beating a lesser fighter is not as good as beating a better fighter, regardless of mandatory challenger positioning or not.

It's simple, wait for Cotto/Canelo, keep Johnson as a plan B if the 'stars' want to be divas.

By chasing Johnson and ASSUMING the stars will stall is not even giving a ****ing effort. Then the whole "nobody will fight him" means jack ****.

When a boxer wants to unify belts, he has to fight mandatories.

Unlike Mayweather, Wilder, Ward, Cotto, etc., there are fighters who respect their obligations.

That's a fine stay busy fight, particularly if the wrong guys (Cotto and BJS) win. May as well take out a mandatory if he's going to stay active.

    That's fine.

I rate the merit of their opposition.

I don't rate the sanctioning bodies' wholly corrupt and inconsistent monthly rankings.

Maybe some people do, I don't know. If they do, good for them. And good luck to them not being laughed out of a boxing discussion.
