Gotta get the belt. If Canelo/Cotto drop the belt and Johnson is the next guy up, so be it.

Control the belts and you control the division. If Canelo or Cotto want to duck Golovkin, that's on them. Not like they would be the first guys to duck Golovkin.

Team Golovkin has made their intentions clear. Get the belts and unify the division. They also seem to be on a path to try to break Hopkins' middleweight defenses record.

Canelo, Cotto, Johnson, whoever. Golovkin is making anyone opposite him right now look like a speedbump. You just have to fight who is there, for the belts.

    4 months from now.
Canelo Cotto winner won't be ready to go in February after fighting in November.
Lee Saunders winner won't be ready to go in February after fighting in December.
Jacobs Quillin winner won't be ready to fight again in February after fighting in December, even then that fight will go to purse bids(if they even want it lol)
Andre Ward is fighting LHW tune ups until mid/late 2016.
Who do you suggest as a realistic option to fight GGG in February?

I see a LOT of hypocrites whining about someone fighting a mandatory.

Point is: GGG does not want Tureano...he has said DOZENS of times he wants the winner of Cotto/Canelo. You guys all seem to be fine with the "lineal champ" (whoever wins) basically ducking GGG next and then crucify GGG for fighting a mandatory, when in all liklihood the cotto/canelo winner will do just that. How does that make ANY sense? You can't be called "THE MAN" (Lineal champ) if you won't fight the man (GGG) that everyone is clamouring for.

If GGG takes a February fight i bet Cotto/Canelo winner will start to cry at the WBC and let them have another voluntary fight and GGG will have the same Problem in autumn then again...

GGG should wait the result of Cotto/Canelo on 21/11 and then force the WBC to make the fight against the winning B!TCH of them two pusys :deal

When your alternative is Lara it makes sense to run to tureano.

Meh, its not a terrible fight.

It can be put under "stay busy/get a mando out of the way" type fight

i love how all of the sudden "business sense" is important when talking about ggg....all of the sudden these guys who were about "challenges...legacy and taking risks" are all about business minded decisions.....its funny......lara carries some risk and not much reward....but hes still better than anyone on ggg's resume....and would actually be the best scalp on it and it would actually prove something to his naysayers......but im sure hed rather fight an unknown nobody
