Team GGG was asking firor a riduculous 55-45 split, that is holding up fight

65-35 is fair. No way GGG and his team should be demanding more then that.

 

From WBC rules: "split will be 55% for the champion and 45% for the interim champion. "

GGG is the MW interim champion. Whats the excuse now? :deal

First you say they should "marinate" or delay the fight several years or so between GGG and Canelo. But when we can see that same first class "marination" process occurring between GGG and SOG, and its simply labeled as a GGG duck job? Canelo surrenders a belt and yet you idiots applaud him?:huh

The only real and honest way we will see who is best in each division is by fighting any and all top rated fighters in that division, who can successfully make the weight on the scales, and regardless of the catchweight stuff thats turning this sport into a bit of a jole:deal

 

That's bull****, why would they ask for more against a guy who clearly has a better track record of sales? I don't buy it.

 

This fight should not have to go to purse bids. Wilder Povetkin is one thing but the lineal MW champion who sells ppv's against a mandatory who can't sell ppvs should be cut and dry in terms of the split. If it's true that GGG is asking for 55-45 split...then that's just a ***** move to get the fight in his country. Then I can see why Canelo is vacating.

 

Current WBC rules say it has to be a 70/30 split which is more than fair. GGG/K2 would get 30% if the fight was signed. Purse split is not the problem here. Oscar doesn't want to lose his cashcow. That's the one and only reason.

 

It wouldn't have been 55-45, stop. K2 wasn't demanding that and WBC wouldn't have given it either.
