Hopkins not valid at all. Multiply weight world champion. Facts he fought cloud and Murat then unified you fool. That's not a unification match in his first defence is it?? Or can't you count??
http://www.boxingforum24.com/showthread.php?t=550986&page=3 Post #40. Deal with it, son. Mod confirmation. :hi::hi: You whiny *****es. :yep
He won WBA and 1st defense was unification with Kov, can you count? Lemieux won IBF and unified with GGG. You must be the only person in the World who doesn't wanna see GGG-BJS. Sorry can't help you.
I don't want to see GGG waste time with bjs, too much of a mismatch in every aspect. It's an impossibility for ggg not to win easy
Andy Lee is the only top fighter at 160 who wants to fight GGG. He might get the fight despite having lost to BJS. The alternative for GGG is to fight another tomato can.
Golovkin will fight Tureano Johnson next. It will be an entertaining fight due to the styles involved. Tureano will get inside and make it ugly for GGG. But GGG's timing, accuracy and power will eventually cause Johnson to back off against the ropes until he goes down or gets TKO via ref stoppage. 5-8 rounds at most. Then, GGG will get ducked by Canelo as its clear Canelo just doesn't want it at 160. I just don't see GGG draining down to 155. 157 they will agree to but Canelo will not budge from 155. Golovkin will then fight possibly a Heiland, possibly Lee or Arif Magodevov in Sept with interest in GGG continuining to wane. Then what?? Either GGG moves up to 168 or his career will wither. At that point boxing fans will NOT CARE that he's been unjustly ducked. He wouldn't be the first or last boxer to have this problem. Sergio Martinez moved up to 160, which wasn't his natural weight and took on MUCH BIGGER OPPONENTS, such as Murray, Pavlik, Chavez Jr, Macklin, etc. And so many others that did so. If GGG stays at 160 after 2016, that's all good for him. But I wouldn't consider any greatness talk. Just a solid middleweight.
A lot of Mexicans like Golovkin also so its going to be hard for Canelo to avoid or delay this fight without catching a lot of criticism.
Canelo will lose some fans if he gets stripped. But there's a good possibility that Canelo wont get stripped because of WBC hypocrisy and corruption. Also, do realize that many casual fans don't know much about the details. I was speaking to a causal the other day that said "canelo is the champ, GGG needs to fight at 155" I kid you not. He also said that GGG aint fought nobody, that Canelo doesn't need to fight GGG. That GGG needs to fight Thurman! LOL. My general point is that most casual boxing fans DKSAB. We cannot extrapolate boxing knowledge from our community of boxing geeks to the casual public. As for the WBO strap. Lets see how long BJS keeps it hostage in UK. He can easily fight 3 scrubs as the UK "CHAMPION!!!" lol. BJS is self aware, he knows he isn't going to have a long reign. He will maximize his earnings, making 1 million per fight for as many fights possible. He saw what happened to Lemiuex. He doesn't want the same result. Its possible the WBO strap gets passed around in the UK for several years until GGG ages out. As for breaking Hopkins record, this is a strong possibility. Personally, I don't care about that record at all. I prefer to watch GGG go up to 168 and stop Abraham in Germany and stop Groves in UK and stop Bute in Canada. And for the final hurrah, to move up to 175 and fight Kovalev in the ultimate thriller.
