    ...Team McCloskey a disgrace after.

He was getting an arsing and would have been stopped on his feet within 2/3 rounds. Usually like Hearns but were ridiculous tonight. Barry made himself look a dick and Eddie look a little boy by going off after the fight. The only time McCloskey landed in last 3 rounds was with an arm-punch and he was going to knock him out? Per-lease. Going on about rematch makes them look stupid. Paul got owned by a sub-par Khan for six rounds and did nothing worthy in response.

McCloskey asking for a rematch is like a groupie asking a band member for an engagement ring after being ****ed in the bogs after a gig.

He belongs at domestic level. Lets see him fight Theopane/Gavin. I'd have him a big outsider against both.

    Well said.

In a way, they should be grateful for it ending the way it did. It's much better to live off a cut stoppage, than to have been shut out for the full 12 rounds or be stopped.

McCloskey did nothing tonite and doesnt have the right to complain. If the fight was anyway competitive then maybe but it was a joke. They need to show some respect to freddie and oscar as well

:good Khan owned McCloskey in the ring aswell as in the post fight press conference. People criticise team Khan (you can say justifyably) but the behaviour of team McCloskey was a disgrace, haha rematch  no chance

That is hilarious! By the some of the posts here, you would think that McCloskey won the event and deserved a rematch.

I don't agree with calling for an immediate rematch. But I do agree with Hearns about the bad stoppage. We've seen worse cuts in the past and although Paul was getting outclassed he wasn't in any danger of being knocked out. Paul displayed good defense and nobody is giving him credit for it. Even if he had been shut out for 12 rds, at least the fans would get a complete fight. At least give him one or two more rounds to continue. If the cut worsened or he gets badly hurt then you bring the fight to a halt. I guess I'm torn because I hate the early stoppage but love the upcoming Khan-Bradley match.

    A bad stoppage, yes.

PM wasn't causing any problems at all for Khan though, and you got the feeling it may have been stopped in the next couple of rounds anyway.

Hearn has been in this business long enough to have seen that and his ranting afterwards was plain silly. I can only assume his "outrage" was designed to try and get his fighter a rematch.

There's no way I want to see those two fight again, and I certainly wouldn't pay £15 for the pleasure!

While Hearns was over the top in his reaction I belive he had every right to be, it was the worse stoppage by a doctor I've ever seen. As for McCloskey being stopped within a couple of rounds were you pissed? Apart from when they clashed heads Paul was never hurt. Yes Khan would of won teh fight but to claim he hurt McCloskey is laughable, Colin Lino Lynes and Lauri gave McCloskey more rocky times. Khan footwork and range of punching was woeful

Regardless of whether you thought McCloskey was hurt or not, he didn't do enough to win a single round and was never in danger of winning that fight.

The worst stoppage by a doctor you've ever seen?
    Lol.
    It wasn't good but don't over-react.

You're not related to Barry Hearn are you?
