Dangerous fight for Khan. I'm sure this was considered before the Corley fight but had Maidana looked very impressive, I doubt this fight would be on so soon. I always thought it'd be a few years before Khan faced a big puncher, so, to me, it's a big risk. It's dangerous because Maidana wasn't there mentally and fighters like him need that extra drive. He lacked it and looked like he did. If he brings that attitude and mentality to a Khan fight, I think he will knock Khan out. Skills and speed are one thing but Maidana's unorthodox, probably 'bad', technique will be in his favour. Whilst Khan is very good, he's not suited to fighters like Maidana and even Presscot. That wild style is easy to outbid but hard to avoid for 12. This may turn out like Forrest/Mayorga.

That said, Khan schools Bradley and Alexander.

Maidana existing is the BEST thing possible for Khan right now. He's a crude banger that Khan can fight, dominate, and "put to rest" notions that he's avoiding anyone with pop since Maidana is still riding the hype train after stopping "Glass Heart" Ortiz. That's if he fights him.

It'll happen I think, there's no other real options available to Khan. GBP would have greatly preferred it to have been his final fight in the 3 fight deal and for him to fight Marquez 2nd (I strongly believe Schaefer thinks Khan would defeat Marquez), and then to take the Maidana fight last , once its finally "built up" as he put it.

What exactly that build up has been is a mystery to all, my opinion is that they thought Marquez would take the fight, and with Maidana having agreed to avoid Khan for 3 fights, once Khan defeated Marquez, there was a good likelyhood Maidana could have also lost, or with the opening up of avenues to bigger fights than Maidana, Making a dangerous and less financially rewarding fight not nessecary

This isn't to say that I believe GBP think Maidana is more dangerous than Marquez, but when viewed in the light of Khan's weakness, and the business side of things. They would much prefer Marquez

Khan and Roach will know of Maidanas power, its no secret that Khan has a suspect chin. Khan wouldnt be so willing to fight Maidana if he wasnt 99% sure he could beat him, so in my eyes i see a mismatch. Where a fast Khan pummels Maidana on the outside and crushes his spirit. Maidana looks for that one punch that everybody talks about but cant find it

Definately dont agree there. He isnt as fast as Khan but he has very deceptive speed. He is like a faster Urango. Actually i believe better than Urango.

His speed is there. Obviously not his best asset but its faster than Presscots and definately more power.

The smart money is on Khan but his chin and Maidanas power even the playing field quite a bit.

I Cant See Anything But A Clear Khan UD In This One Mayby Even A Late TKO In Favour Of Khan His By Far The Better Fighter Of The 2 And Khan Had Very Under-Estimated Power Of His Own , The Only Way Maidana Can Win This Is If He Can Catch Khan Clean and Khan And Roach Both No That , This Will Be A Boxing Clinic Put On By Khan When These 2 Meet Trust Me !!

What it all boils down to is khan's people seeing this past fight and all of the sudden feeling confident because of what they saw. There was a little bit of trash talking but Khan's team was never really trying to make this fight until they saw that lackluster performance. Same goes for the last alexander fight. They saw something that made them start running thier mouths with a bit of genuine confidence from both of the belt holders last performances. I don't think he is that confident with bradley..

Of course. I didn't have anyone to expose

I don't think so. You saw the Corley fight I presume? He looked slow in there to me. You can see his shots a mile in advance.
