Im not sure anyone thinks Haye will bring the lions share?

And in the USA, if you stopped 50 people in the street and asked them who Vitali Klitschko is, be honest, you wouldnt do well either.

Unfair? Wasn't Haye the one who said he wanted to fight and beat both of them, and it would be easy? Plus his biggest career payday by 10fold I would think that is a great opportunity!

Financially it is wayyyy better than fighting Valuev and Ruiz no?

I do agree Jack, unless he ended up dropping out of the fight because he realized it was too ridiculous. I don't think he's scared, but now that's he is champ he may not be in any rush to cash in on a few fights as an assurance before fighting one of the K brothers. Setanta going out of business was probably why it didn't happen in the first place but I can't completely speculate on that because Haye might've been legitimately hurt.

Well, me being one of the rare boxing friends in my neck of the woods, almost all of my friends who are in to sports know who Klitscho is (granted most don't know that there are 2 of them). Not a single has said they know haye. I do agree with you, out of 50 it would probably be in the 10-15 range IMO.

The same goes for either K brother, though...

I would attribute this more to them not wanting one sided beatdowns, they know Haye will finally bring a good competative bout.

If they don't know there are two then the interest doesn't go beyond that. There is zero desire to watch them. They're just as unattractive even if their name is vaguely reminiscent.

50/50 sounds like a fair deal.

However, where is the majority of the PPV revenue coming from? The UK?

Wlad offered him the same thing and he still pussed out of that fight. Vitali is the tougher fight as well so you think ***** boy Haye will take this. No way!

Haye does not believe in a win, otherwise he would accept the offer immediately! :deal

Maybe so, name recognition does go a long way though.

Wlad's offer supposedly included an immediate rematch clause (fair enough) and a following immediate rematch against his brother (not fair enough). If that's true, I can understand Haye not going for that.

But if it's just a straight 50/50, it seems fair.

10-15 is hardly a lions share either then.

The fact that your mates haven't heard of Haye, who is a heavyweight champion of the world, is really just as sad as my wife not knowing who Klitschko is.

Lets just agree that it's a fight between them that is of interest to the public, and just goes to show that neither has a really solid claim to a bigger piece of the pie.

I've made the point before that I think it's the outside influence more than Haye himself. When it was Haye and Booth running everything, every big fight got made. Mormeck, Macca, Valuev and even Wlad. However, now there's GBP, who were openly the only ones asking for Haye/Harrison, there's Sauerland and there's, I think, Don King. Now, if there are issues with the amount of money being split, surely if you look at everyones track record, the blame should be put on these additional promoters?

I don't think for a second that Haye/Harrison would have happened with GBP and I'm pretty sure a Wlad/Vitali bout would have been closer to happening too.

I can agree to that. I was never arguing FOR Vitali to have the lions share, I was more refering to the first page of this thread where someone stated that Haye would bring in most of the PPV revenue. I actually think every fight should be 50-50, or 60-40 in favor of the winner. Or 40-40 with them slipping me 20% out of the good in their hearts.
