The language coming out of his camp isn't NEARLY as tough as it was when Gennady had an opponent lined up...and they're already talking vacation and mandatory. Also, Froch talked big about GGG and Ward...yet no response yet. Boxing really sucks sometimes.
Why would Lemieux fight GGG when he can fight someone like Sam Soliman and keep his belt for at least 1,5 years until his next mando, making some cash with voluntaries along the way?
ya lemieux was talking right tough about ggg when he had a fight lined up now his on about mandatories and the ibf now said the unification is more important than the mandatory, wonder what he will do next
Lemieux will likely accept a fight with GGG after Canelo/Cotto. Remember what DLH said about building up Canelo/GGG taking 2 years.
When did team Lemieux talked about mandatories exactly, any source? Plus Lemieux just got his title, it is not like has been holding on to and fighting bums for years now or not fighting for years while holding his WBA title.
That's what happens. They talk the talk but as soon as Golovkin talks back, then they get real quiet. Typical.
Oh what a surprise Another "X is ducking GGG thread" Gets boring, real fast. According to GGG****s, everyone ducks him and he ducks no one. Everyone from 154-168 is ducking him. :roflatsch
Lemieux always said it would be a good fight in the future. So he is talking about fighting GGG, but in the future. He actually said that GGG being a pressure fighter, while he (Lemieux) likes to counter, it would easier then against a runner. He said it after his fight. He didn't say "I am not fighting him" like Quillin, he said in the future. Give him a year or two to get ready, then we can have one of the most exciting fight in years. Lemieux said that it would be exciting, and promised a lot of blood with an evile smile. It is the same then calling a fight against Ward a good fight "after I unified". Well, why not now then since Ward is calling him. GGG is saying two different things on each side of his mouth.
Yeah, not like there was any change in circumstances that can logically explain this. Like, I dunno, gaining a title and all the leverage and perks that come along with it? :smoke
Even before he got the title, when asked by HBO after the Rosado fight, Lemieux always said "in the future". It is not like he changed his mind after GGG was talking. GGG is scared that Lemieux will be the bigger draw, along with Canelo in the 160 division.
