You act as if Golovkin wants to fight tomato cans. He wants to unify his division. Hard to do that when the title holders don't want to fight you.
Ward is ducking him too right? Lara? Everyone is ducking him! :rofl I like how you add "With money" But some of the guys you suggested, don't bring any money at all. You're posting with a CLEAR agenda. Yeah why don't you just go with, "everyone is ducking GGG" and be done with it.
Didn't Lara say he would fight him? He's not a can......:yep...Ward would gladly fight him soon but Triple Duck's team are not likely to take that fight....why?....cause they would want to protect their fighter's interests. Actual ducking is a very rare thing...:rasta
Only an idiot can't see a difference. GGG fights who is available from top middleweights. Lemieux can fight the best middleweight but avoids him.
Ward is not a middleweight. Lara is just talking. He knows that Haymon will not let him fight on HBO. HBO will also likely not approve Lara after his last two boring performances.
If you don't think they would approve Lara compared to the cans Triple G normally fights I don't know what to tell you.
Are you an idiot ? Didn't I mention that Golovkin is interested in top MIDDLEWEIGHTS or fighters with MONEY behind them. Neither Ward, nor Lara belong to those categories. All fighters I mentioned belong to them.
You call it ducking. I call it livelihood. And while GGG is an example of someone on the cusp, making him a decent shout as far as these things go, rest assured that a lot of strategic planning goes into his decision making and you can see the logic behind it. GGG is looking for a "breakthrough win". He is looking to protect his interests and reach the next level. That's why he has a hierarchy of opponents he wants to face, that exhibit the exact risk/reward situation I was referring to. He wants Cotto ideally, Canelo as a nice #2 back-up, and more recently and for the more immediate future, he wants Lemieux. All very winnable fights for him, in declining order of payout vs perceived risk. He has specifically stated he ideally wants Ward, but NOT until after he can try and lure Cotto or Canelo into the ring first - for obvious reasons. He's steering away from Ward in favor of Cotto and/or Canelo much in the same way Ward is steering away from Kovalev in favor of GGG and/or Froch. GGG has also claimed he would drain down to 154 for a shot at Floyd, and he said he'd move up to 168 for Froch or Chavez. But he isn't willing to drain down to 54 for others, and he isn't willing to jump up to 68 for others. These are all textbook examples of the exact thing I'm talking about. :smoke
If you're Lemieux and you can either fight GGG now and make less money in the long run or fight him later and make much more it's a no brainer. Why so many refuse to acknowledge the business side of boxing and claim it's flat out ducking..I will never know.
HBO wants exciting fights, and Lara runs to much. The reason Ward fought on BET is that HBO didn't approve his fight with Smith. They also were not approving total bums he wanted to fight 19 months ago forcing him to fight somebody looking decent like Rodriguez.
:good Plus, for Lemieux, it's not even about GGG right now. Isn't he in his 20s still? In his case, he's thinking big big picture. For better or worse for the fans, he's going to clearly want to employee a similar strategy that Wilder is using. Again, this is their livelihood. :smoke
Golovkin. Isn't. Moving. Up. Till. He. Unifies. His. Division. How many times does he have to say it. Also, Lara is 1) not a MW 2) with Haymon.
Translation - he's protecting his best interests and making strategic career decisions to protect his livelihood. 0 for 1. Feel free to try again. :smoke
