Because they never accept that fear to lose is a reason for not fighting somebody. They want to be called "champion of the world" but not defend that title against strongest opponents.

    Good points there.

That's the difference between being the best and being the pretender.

When Wladimir Klitschko defeated Byrd back in 2006, he was the biggest name in the heavyweight division, but he was also the best. He never had problems fighting anyone regardless of the risk/reward ratio, and even went to give David Haye 50% of money so he could fight him.

That's the difference between protecting your investment (at all costs) and being the true champion.

Btw I also want to fight GGG, just not right now. :smoke

With DL's fighting style, you know your career won't last long. Gotta put some in the bank before going for the GGG homerun swing.

Lemieux is not scared btw, Oscar is. David is too confident for his own good.

Title was vacant so a mandatory must be fought first, no issue there.

Did you guys know Lemieux won't be allowed on HBO until GYM & GBP settle their lawsuit? Golovkin is HBO exclusive.

Then Lemieux needs to stop pretending to be a brave boy. Here is what he said just a couple weeks ago:

You don't know Lemieux if you think he's "pretending". :rofl

Like I said, Oscar is building a coke retirement fund and David is part of the plan. This is on GBP, as Lemieux would be fighting Golovkin tomorrow morning if it was up to him.

You people's own attitude toward the sport is what makes the sport hard to follow for yourselves, and only yourselves. Of course if you only want a choice of a few things to happen and nothing else then you have absolutely no control over it you're gonna be frustrated when it doesn't happen. You put yourselves in that position, it really is kinda like children and their fixated wants. I'm not even trying to take a crack there, it simply just fits. Then you come on here we gotta deal with the tantrums all day...ok, now that was taking a crack, lol.

    Its actually a great comparison.

Everyone that knew boxing knew that Pac had no chance. Mayweather pretty much shut him down, just as expected, and I predicted a very comfortable UD win for May. Whether or not hordes of casuals that do not know/understand boxing predicted Pac to win is irrelevant, it is simply an indicator of one fighter's popularity (and the villain effect of the other). If GGG was as good an antagonist as May is, or if DL had as big an ethnic following as Pac has, the exact same things would be said, namely

DL has a solid puncher's chance
GGG never faced anyone that hits as hard as DL etc

Yes, to all experts, DL is an underdog. Same as Pac was with May.

Pac had a lot more ammo than that, it was said he was faster and more powerful in both hands than May have ever dealt with. Pac was able to beat similar opponents in a far more impressive fashion save for Marquez. DL has only had one similar opponent in which he did not beat as easily as three G, Rosado. David is powerful but he develops that power through slow and seeable haymakers. In my mind David most closely reminds me of prime Cintron, but Cintron had the size advantage over most of his opponents to impose his will and land those haymakers. Cintron was also faster in my opinion.

I think Lemieux would fight GGG but Oscar is clearly behind the duck.
He's protecting Canelo and Lemieux, hoping GGG moves up to 168.

It sucks but Golovkin brings jack to the table.
