Who's to say when one person is crossing the line or not, when you're as loud as Roach is, you're just inviting this sort of thing. I don't think Rios and Margarito are making fun out of anyone who ever had parkinsons, not deliberately, this was just a quick way to say "**** you" to the guy who has been calling professional fighters bums, and accusing hall of famers of loading their gloves for the last 2-3 years. I can't bring myself to even care.

 

I'm genuinely saddened by some of the reactions on this thread. Not by fredy-wak because it is quite clear that he is an intellectual derelict, but by the seemingly articulate among us like gyll. There are no two ways about this, gents. Making fun of someone for having brain damage is far, far over the line and should not be acceptable, much less applauded. I am legitimately affected by this thread.

 

Roach calling high level professional fighters bums isn't just annoying, it's offensive and disrespectful, and maybe not to the same extent as Margarito's actions in this video, but I'm not here to say which is worse, only that Roach invites this. I can't feel sympathetic towards a character like Freddie Roach, who is disrespectful but it's okay "he's only hyping the fight". Margarito does it, and although classless, it's being blown way out of proportion.

I will say though, to defend Margarito, is that you can't train someone to be a fighting machine and then moan when they go over the top. He's been training for a long time now and he is no doubt full of emotion and aggression, so, to a certain extent, you have to make allowances. Roach is a guy who has slandered him in the past and whilst I don't think the mocking was warranted, I can understand why it happened. Thing about it like this...when someone pisses you off and you're mad at them and shout "I'm gonna kill you", do you mean it? No. Boxers need to be in that frame of mind, to be the fighters they are, so I don't hate Margarito for this.

As for Rios, **** him. He has no reason at all to be involved in this, yet, for whatever reason, he seems to find it funny. He just seems like a complete dick whereas we know that Margarito has a good side to him.

 

Just like a on of people made fun of Floyd Sr on a thread yesterday about his illness. **** out of here with the crying. You think thats something just wait until Manny agrees to full testing! He really going to get dogged the fu** out!

One of the main symptoms of Parkinsons disease is tremor, rigidity and slowness of movement. If you watch very carefully in the above video, you may just notice Tony and Rios enacting those same symptoms.

 

So I guess you're one of the the folks round here who also feel it's cool to wish Floyd Sr death or make fun of a serious condition having to do with his heart.:-( Talk about Roach being a boxer, or being short, ugly, stupid....but talking about his condition and making fun is overboard. Marg is mad Roach has voiced a stern stance about Marg KNOWING what was in the wraps. So since Marg's feelings are hurt he took it a step further. To me that's a ***** move....hitting below the belt verbally or physically is a ***** move any way you cut it.
