it's funny how this is an issue, but people joking about Mayweather Sr illness and saying things like, "rip, just in case" etc etc etc is ok.

This general section is really pathetic. I hate both mayweather and pac now, because that is all this forum has become. I actually want pac and mayweather to lose and just retire and never fight again.

 

the Mayweather thread is a disgrace too. there are plenty of people pointing out how out of line some of those comments are.

 

You can't say it's too far and then say he had it coming.

I agree, Roach probably did have something coming, but in terms of how 'severe' the trash talking is, what Roach is doing is very mild compare to this. If Rios and Margarito had just said "Pacquiao will be knocked out in 3" or whatever, that would have been equivalent to what Roach says. Talking about potential steroid use, even though there is no proof, would be similar. But this? This is inexcusable. They went way too far, even if Roach did have something coming.

Like I said earlier, I can excuse Margarito though, but **** Rios.

 

See here is the issue, none of you here really know Roach, nor have worked with him or have trained at his gym.
The man knew Toney was on Roids allowed Toney to not only drop terry smith in sparring but continue to kick him as he was down.
He allows Mario Lopez to beat up old men in the gym and knock them out.
one time he also allowed an amatuer to remove padding from his glove while sparring with another amatuer from another gym.
Roach is not this innocent person you think he is, the man is in this game for one thing only and thats money, meaning a guy like Lopez can come in an pay him some money so he can knock out old ass men...
So to be honest with you, Roach deserves some of it if not all of it...

 

So it's ok for people to laugh at Roach's parkinsons, but as soon as someone makes a joke about Floyd Sr it's the end of the world

Margarito actually was'nt making fun of Roach's illness, and most here that dont even like Roach like myself, have come out condemning Brandon Rios' action.

I think most of us here agree, to make fun of Roach's Parkinson symptoms, is to made fun of and degrade anyone with the disease.

It's not the mocking of Roach per se. It's the mocking of a disease suffered by many others. It's offensive to people who have the disease, to his family and friends.

actually margarito's impression wasn't so much making fun of roach's condition...if you understood spanish...you would know that he was makin fun of roach being scared only...now rios was the one who took it to a different level.
