How exactly did Roach bad mouth Margo?

By saying he looked gash his last 2 fights? Mmmm nope, he did look ****.
By saying he must have known what was in his gloves? Mmm I think he's just saying what we all know.
By saying he believes Margo has used loaded gloves before? Nothing wrong with that. Common sence dictates that if you believe he used them for old man Mosley you'd have to believe he would use them in other fights.

Margo could have said "After this fight Mannys going to be crying like Morales 1 all over again, something like that, but he got personal.

Show me where Roach has had a PERSONAL attack on Margo.

Imagine if after this Roach came out and said "Manny is going to lay that cheater down beside his brother". That would be a personal attack and way out of line.

Roach might be a **** but there's a line in the sand for **** you can and can't say.

I don't believe a single figure of note in the boxing world will condone what Margo and his camp have done, that right there tells you something.

If Pac - Floyd gets made and during a 24/7 Roach starts coughing, mumbling and says "pass the crack pipe" would that be acceptable to you?

First and foremost the AM camp has demonstrated they joke, they have fun, they pick at each other, it's what they do. When you do this regularly, there comes a time when you "cross a line" and someone gets there feelings hurt. You've seen AM make fun of himself, you've seen Garcia be the butt of jokes, it's not outside of what would be their "norm".

In terms of this particular situation, Freddie has choosen to put himself front and center, Freddie has choosen to talk down about opponents and other fighters, you saw Pac joke about the hand wrap situation that for AM was a pretty tramatic event, and in some ways a life altering event. You've seen Freddie insult the man on national TV talking about "I've seen your last two fights". Freddie made the choice to put himself in the position to be fair game, by constantly talking about who is "shot", who they are going to "knock out", playing this "brutally honest" card with NO regard for how it may affect anyone else. But now, because Freddie has gotten his feelings hurt, all the sudden this kind of behavior isn't OK? It's unfortunate the man has the disease he does, and I truely appreciate the way he battles through it, but he has no problem making light of his opponents and their hardships so I don't have a lot of sympathy when someone gives some back. If he's that ****ed up about it, Pac will have every opportunity to defend his honor on the 13th. As much as I see people call each other "******" and "***s" on this board, I think it's ****ing hilarious that these same people now want to play the "Politically correct" card. So making fun of mentally handicapped people is any better than making fun of someone with Parkinsans? I don't really have a problem with either/or, I like to make jokes, I'm capable of determining the intent of said jokes, and I don't get my panites in a wad over silly **** like this. If Freddie doesn't want to be a target for **** like this, then shut the **** up and train fighters, period.

Bollocks. Roach making comments about someone professionally and those two dickheads insulting a guy's illness are not comparable. Roach said Margarito looked like **** in his last two fights, is that incorrect? I dont think so, and I dont think anyone else does. How does that justify them two pricks insulting not just Roach, but sufferers of Parkinson's in general? It doesnt. And I dont understand how anybody else thinks it can. Dont give me that ''what goes around comes around'' bull****, if Roach makes comments about Margarito's dead brother then it's justifiable, not if he says something the majority of people believe.

 

So is Roach not allowed to say that he thinks Manny will beat Margo, or that Margo knew all along about the wraps for fear that people will make fun of his disease? And is talking about beating and knocking out your opponent crossing some line that makes it ok to mock his disease?

I think Freddys on to something though, about Margarito making the shivering pose as in "Freddys scared", wheras Brandon Rios picks up and totally goes overboard with his thing. As much as I enjoyed watching Brandon beat the **** out of Anthony Peterson, the man gets under my skin, I hope he gets to fight Victor soon, and get knocked spark out, cold.

 

The bottom line is they made a joke, you don't like it, fair enough. The problem is when you try and make it into an issue greater than what it is. I like comics who say things other people won't, Sarah Silverman as an example, I think the ***** is funny...some people don't. I understand you not liking the joke, you have the right, but to make it some indictment on their character is off base.
