I see what people are saying but I really don't think Roach is a dick. He comes out with a lot of stupid stuff, but what's he ever said that's spiteful? He's never said things like "I hope Pacquiao puts him in a coma" or anything. If he had said that, then I'd understand people saying what goes around, comes around. I just don't think the things he's said, no matter how stupid or over the top, are spiteful.

I do like Margarito but I'm not a massive fan. If I was, like some are, I'm sure I'd probably see it similar though. To me, Roach's comments about the wraps are just to hype the fight but maybe to you, they're harmful to Margarito's life, when he deserves a second chance.

Sticking to the point though, I don't think Roach has done anything equally as bad as mocking brain damage. Boxing is such a dangerous sport and I don't think it's ever something to joke about. Taking Roach out of the equation, they aren't just poking fun at him, they're literally laughing at brain damage. Now, ignore Roach for a second and ask yourself whether that's something which should ever be laughed at. I don't think it is.

But what he's been saying, isn't without good reason. Half the ****ing world believes Tony knew what was going in his hands. It's an established fact that Tony (or his trainer) attempted to illegally load gloves in the Mosley fight. In this sport where your hands are weapons, that's a ****ing outrageous thing to do. Margarito being criticized and questioned about it for the remainder of his career, is the least he deserves.

And of course it matters if Margarito says/does something worse. Because where do you draw the line? Like someone else has already said, what if Roach digs out a picture of Tony's dead brother and prompts everyone in Wildcard to laugh at it?

That was way below the belt. And there really is no defending it, regardless of how much Roach has criticized him.

 

it's hard for me not to consider this over the line. as for ali, a LOT of his fans don't like him as a person but as a boxer. he was a racist and treated frazier like ****. i agree: PLENTY of low blows have occured in boxing history. but it doesn't make it ok. i think margo was pushing it and it wasn't even clever.

not saying roach is flawless but this is about what margo did, not roach

That's all this is.. Hype. It's not okay for Margarito and Rios to do what they did in mocking Roach, but it's also not cool for Roach to be calling Margarito a liar over and over.

Roach got what he deserved.. Either play the game or get the **** out.I bet Roach could give a **** about what Margarito did, yet half the posters in here got their panties in a bunch.

Does anyone think they Margarito and Rios would go to such measures if Roach weren't putting out headlines on a daily basis?
