Exactly. If anyone can find any quotes from Roach which are as sick or as indefensible, then I'll say "fair enough". However, when people talk about his **** talking, they are talking about him being overconfident or overly boastful. That's just hype. Roach has never said anything bad about a fighter, from what I know. If he has wished injury on anyone, then lets see some quotes.

And I dont think this should be blown out of proportion either, it just showed alot about the character of Margarito and Rios....Jack- best posts on this thread. that about sums it up.

 

I think it's petty, yeah, and, honestly, I don't like to read it. I've met Roach and he was a really nice guy and totally different from the person you see in these videos. When he talks **** about fighters, I just ignore that but I don't think he's ever spiteful.

I agree he does go over the top sometimes, but, to me, he would only warrant this, if he was saying things like "I hope ____ gets put in a coma". That would be as wrong as what Margarito and Rios did. He hasn't done anything that bad though, I don't think.

I see what you're saying though, mate, but I don't know what Roach has said, which is as bad.

 

I'm one of the posters that believes Margarito knew how his hands were being wrapped.. I didn't want to at first.. But their is no way of not knowing having had my own hands wrapped a few times for fights.

I honestly don't look at it as being below the belt. This is all hype.. People will say and do anything before a fight. One can only imagine how Margarito has felt over the past few months due to Roach's mouth.

Hopkins throwing down a Puerto Rico flag twice? Now that is below the belt.. But Freddie Roach? The man is no saint and shoots jabs at any chance he gets.
