You stupid? Ward said no to 170 and Dawson said -fine, ill stick to initial offer. There was no making Dawson do anything.

I think this is a no-brainer for Ward as it would be his biggest payday possible for the forseeable future.

He could fight Dirrell (who boxed Olympics as a MW) at a catchweight of 165. He's a less *****, more talented version of Dirrell so it should be a good warmup fight in Oakland to see if he can go down to 162 for Martinez in Las Vegas.

And when has Martinez express a desire to move up in weight to fight Ward? Is just the nutlickers on here who want Martinez to move up to 168lbs to fight Ward yet Ward did not move up to 175lbs to fight Dawson. Dawson was clearly drained in the Ward fight as would Ward be if he moves down to 160lbs. Ward's limits is 168lbs and can't or won't benefit him to go below that weight. Just like Martinez limit is 160lbs and can't or won't benefit him to go to SMW.

Hate to be the one to suggest a catchweight fight but 165 has a nice ring to it.

**** Pac at 152lbs, Martinez would be a walking zombie at that catchweight. Floyd just fought Cotto at 154lbs and Floyd says he doesn't fight at "catchweights" (remember Marquez :patsch) so a Martinez/Floyd at 154lbs is doable assuming Martinez wins this Saturday. It looks like Pac is fighting Marquez, Cotto will be busy with Trout and if Cotto wins he has plans with Canelo for 5/2013. So Floyd is running out of options. I don't think a Floyd/Bradley is doable since Bradley is with TR. And the Alexander/Bailey winner for Floyd :-( A Chavez Jr/Floyd is not doable either because of the size diffrence, JR. can't go down to 154lbs and Floyd can't go up to 160lbs.

How many idiots have to be told? Dawson challenged Ward for his titles at 168. Not the other way around.

There's nothing wrong with catchweight fights that make sense. I think Andre Ward can go down to 162 and he should. Sergio is a small middleweight and Ward is a perfect super middle.

Longer, taller, stronger. He should be more penalized in the weight loss.

162-163 is a nice weight to have the fight at.

160 with ward won't happen. However 152 vs Floyd would be a huge fight

And only an idiot can't see that Dawson was affected by the move down! How many of us say one thing thinking we can do it and then only to find out we can't? Dawson made the same mistake ODLH made. Dawson though he could make 168lbs safely and didn't. ODLH thought he could make 147lbs and didn't. Can you see that?

Martinez is looking for the "fame and the money", just like jr said. He needs to get passed jr first before he can think of Ward. And Ward would still whoop him. Why aren't people complaining about Martinez trying to drain him, but if jr said lets fight at 160, people would be crying about it?

That's after the fact. No one knew how Ward would look at the weight. Turns out he looked horrible, but he was the one who suggested it. Are you saying he didn't challenge Ward @ 168 on national television?? Please tell me that lie.
