No they weren't, Pacquiaos previous fight was Hatton at 140, he went back down after DZH as the said 147 was too big. Fighting Cotto he went back up from 140

As for Marg, he's huge. Fighting him a 151 is fairer than fighting him at 147, you just sounding dumb now

Cotto was a much less disadvantage dropping to 145 from his usual 146 than Canelo would be dropping 7lb from his usual 154.

Floyd said he wanted to fight cotto at a weight he was comfortable at. Why not the same for canelo? Oh and the guys who bring up pac cotto catch weight, that was bull**** too but only a pound lower than what cotto weighed vs clottey. This is a whole weight class! Its impossible for canelo to be at his best when he has to cut soo much weight. I hope non biased posters see this.

Floyd would in all likelihood comfortably ud canelo at 154 and that's what makes this weight drain such a ****ing joke.

ive been betting on boxing for over 20 years and Floyd ud over canelo at 154 would be my biggest bet ever.

You sound silly. Mayweather fought twice at the weight and came in under it both times. Alvarez has fought how many times at 147?

Mayweather made no excuses. Pac was offered 50/50 and a 14 day testing cut off then walked. Pac went on to make crap fights with crap numbers. Mayweather went on to make mega fights with testing being a non issue. Everyone else manned up, unlike Pac. Pac ran from 40 million and got beaten then sparked. Pac is now taking on guys coming off losses like he has his whole fraudulent career.

If the challenger wants the champion he makes concessions. Fight at 147 and get 154 in the rematch clause. That is what FMJ did when he faced ODLH. He didn't do the rematch because the fight was so decisive to anybody who had a clue about Boxing. Pacfraud you're welcome.

I think FMJ wins the fight at 154. In the same breath I think that at a high level you fight a guy big enough you risk losing to a lesser fighter. Also Alvarez wouldn't get credit. Alvarez has little to gain by taking this risk. It will be a Hopkins/Pavlik situation.

I think the fight will be made. Just later in FMJ's Showtime contract.
