Team Mayweather can just shut up on the side line. Their fighter is "retired" so no need to be insecure. :yep :yep :yep

If PBF is as big a star as he claims to be, he should be able to make big PPV $$$ regardless of who he fights. When is he gonna stop riding his opponents jock straps and start carrying some fights himself?

Your probably jealous of the rubdowns that Ellerbe gets to give Floyd. Just keep working hard, smalltime, and one day you will get to apply the cocoa butter yourself.

I am going to say this. Both of them are kind of dirty and frustrating in different ways. Hatton pushes his opponents head down and traps their lead arm with astonishing regularity and I would have deducted a point from him. Mayweather uses his elbow too much to push off, sometimes in an opponents face, uses his off hand to obscure an opponents vision while delivering a punch, and back pedals with great speed. The difference is that Maweathers tactics are marginally more legal than Hattons and should probably not get a point deducted, whereas Ricky overuses his tactics ad nauseum.

Mayweather is wrong for Hatton. Hatton will come forward and Mayweather will be backing up and using his longer reach. Mayweather can fight excellently backing up. At 147-154 especially Mayweather just carries that weight better with his taller frame. The first fight with Castillo was a combination of new weight class, torn rotator cuff, hurt ribs, hurt hand, and a marginally off night for pretty boy, but Hatton has had bad nights too, against the lightly regarded Collazo, for example. Pretty boy simply won't stand there and take the shots that Castillo did, and he is as fleet of foot as hatton, even if it is in reverse gear.

I would really like to see how PBF deal with Hatton's suffocating offense. Hatton is very strong and can maintain the pace for full 12 rounds.

you mean hatton's holding..easy footwork and jab hatton doesn't move his head when he comes in so a counter left hook and right hook will do him in easy. hatton will be easy work.

thus the word marginally. the elbow is illegal but he does not use it as frequently as Hatton pushes his opponents head down with his holding hand while hitting with the other. Holding and hitting with impunity as Hatton often does is more disturbing than the occasional elbow Mayweather sneaks in when he creates distance - it isn't a hard UFC type elbow, but one that pushes an opponent back so he can fire up the middle in the space created.

Don't get me wrong though, both are dirty as hell. I just think Hattons dirty tactics are more damaging to his opponent and even more overlooked by refs in addition to occurring the ENTIRE time he fights. Floyd had a point taken away for elbowing Castillo, I believe. Nothing happened to Hatton, who continued his dirty fight until the end.

To be fair, Trinidad, Cotto, Hopkins, and Zab are all dirty, as is Barrera, who will fire 1-2-headbutt combinations if frustrated. It comes with fighting.

I have seen hopkins head butt an opponent in the groin before, too, as he pretended to duck to sneak in a looping over the body right hand.
