I have to agree, Pac lost and whined about his shoulder and the fact that Floyd 'ran', like he didn't know that was Floyd's fighting style

    Easy to say, but...
Well, Tzyu had a 22 month layoff from 2003 to 2004.
During that layoff, Floyd moved up to 140 and got WBC title eliminator(one of 2).
In his next fight Tzyu got pummeled by Hatton.
I don´t know much more about it. Floyd wen´t on to have his second WBC eliminator and Tzyu retired.

Mayweather would on to earn 8 mil(and more?) vs Baldomir and then secured himself a fight with De La Hoya.
IMO, yes, Floyd could have made a fight with Margarito. But back in 2006, Margarito hadn´t really done much to be honest.
And can´t really blame Floyd for cutting ties with Arum, winning the lineal welterweight title and then getting the biggest fight with Oscar.

Then Floyd would have ducked Hatton. A month before Williams outslugged Margarito, Hatton put down Castillo and publicly called out Floyd.
Can you really hold it against Floyd for picking Hatton?
The year that Floyd did not fight at all? The year Cotto lost to Margarito?
    Yeah, real duck.
Let´s face it, they both are to blame here.
People seem to have completely forgotten about Manny´s fear of needles and all the ridiculous **** Arum said:
"We need to build a bigger venue"(paraphrasing here) and "Manny´s cut needs to heal(2011)".
This wasn´t just Floyd blocking the fight from happening.
When... when Tim was singed to Arum? And while Floyd was with SHO?
Not to mention Tim being tied up with Manny.
It´s not like the fight was ever on the table.
Tim publicly stated that he wanted it. But nothing was negotiated. No one even attempted to negotiate. Why? TR was at "war" with GBP.
Did we forget about the little "cold war" we once had?
Why would Floyd have fought Brook over Maidana?
As his "last" fight or instead of Manny?
Sure, let´s hold it against Floyd wanting to go out with an easy W. At 38.

All in all, some of those fights could have happened, but likely means we would have had "Floyd ducked B or C" instead of A.

Imo Floyd could have fought many fights, such as Sergio Martinez and w/e. There are ALWAYS challenges on the table.
But IMO he never pulled a duck like Bowe did.
Should Floyd have been more active and fought more top contenders? Absolutely.

Timing is everything, and Floyd was perfect at it. He fought top competition when it suited him. Guerrero, Ortiz, Maidana, Cotto, Mosley and Baldomir... they all came off of huge wins or a string of high profile wins.

It takes a lot of excuses to portray Floyd Mayweather in a good light.

And it takes some thought to put forth an actual rebuttal(which you are incapable of).

And well done ignoring the part where I said that there were many fights Floyd could have made. He just picked the more logical ones. Instead of fighting someone like Sergio Martinez at 154, Floyd fought Cotto.
Instead of chasing after Tzyu, Floyd went the WBC route(a belt he already had in 2 weight classes)
Instead of hard challenges like Margarito, Floyd chose the lineal champ in Baldomir.

It´s easy, really, really easy to downplay someones career. It´s harder to be a bit more objective. Try and be a bit more objective.
And last and not least, I love watching Floyd in the ring, but can´t stand him as a person. And it really is hard to portray Floyd Mayweather, the person, in a good light.
