Better than a guy who got knocked out twice and got out-boxed by erik morales? Big deal.

pac is the second best but it is debatable still...I still think there are some more talented guys than pac...he will not fight a pure boxer

Go check floyd's numbers vs unpopular boxers.
    Sharmba mitchell numbers?
    Baldomir numbers?

Well mayweather says pac is an easy fight and he is 1 dimensional and shitty.
So if it's debatable who is the best, mayweather must ****ing suck.

  7. That famous Olympic style testing that Marion Jones tested positive for? Oh wait a minute - she didn't; all tests came back negative. Has anyone tested positive with Olympic style blood testing? I don't think they have.

check mosleys last 5 fights and see how much they have sold in comparison to floyds..mosley is not a big ppv guy, berto-mosley wasnt even ppv:patsch try again luke, the " mayweather doesnt sell on his own" is being proven wrong with each passing fight. u dont have to like mayweather to admit he is the cash cow now. if mosley is soo popular then y does he make peanuts when he fights? y does mayweather make more in 1 fight then mosley does in 3 yrs?

Sharmba was mildly promoted and wasn't build up as a big fight..I dont recall it to be on PPV...Baldomir did around 350k I believe but give or take 20k...not very good numbers but than again go look at pac morales 360 thousand buys..I WOULD SAY THEY ARE PRETTY EVEN IN TERMS OF DRAW POWER BUT IF I GAVE IT TO ONE OR THE OTHER I WOULD GIVE IT TO FLOYD BASED ON THE NUMBERS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES...HE HAS DONE MORE #'S IN COMMON OPPONENTS..EVEN IF PAC DID 800K WITH JMM HE STILL WOULDN'T MEET THE TOTAL FLOYD DID IN THE 3 COMMON OPPONENTS..:deal

While I totally agree that Mosley vs Mayweather is the better fight (although I think Pac-Clottey is a decent scrap to) but I hardly think this is a case of Mayweather outsmarting team Pac. If the Haiti quake didn't happen, I don't think they would have gotten this fight. It's just a case of team Mayweather taking advantage of a good (and honestly very lucky) opening. If Berto hadn't pulled out, Floyd would either have to wait for the results of that fight of fought someone terrible.

Mayweather may be ahead of Pac in the PR battle, but Pac is way ahead of him in the legacy battle.

I would not call it smart so much as LUCKY. Embarrassingly, the fight fell apart and Floyd needed to fight a quality fighter in order to save face. I would agree that it was a smart move to wait and see who Pac would fight instead in order to fight a bigger fight. Imagine if Floyd would have been fighting Judah or some prospect the event would have been a joke. The only real choices they had were non Top Rank Fighters like Cintron, Collazo, Berto, and Shane. Of the three fighters listed Shane is the best fighter and bigger name.

It really was luck that Berto Mosley was canceled after the tragic incident. However, Floyd is risking a lot and afterwards people might say he was foolish to take on Shane.
