I wonder if you need a fishing license to marry the women in the Trout family? That idea for the Photoshop came to me out of nowhere lol, but I think it's a good cover photo for this thread I give you props though, you called Rigo on the way on that fight. I don't ever remember seeing anyone get an overnight bandwagon that big since JMM knocking Manny out cold.
yeah. to be honest, i was more confident in Rigo's abilities than i am on Trout's based on his ameteur pedigree and his last couple of outings and i had watched Donaire for a while now and had a good feeling on what type of style would trouble him.. only concern i had with Rigo was his punch resistance.. that's it. i knew he'd outclass him and donaire isn't an effective when trying to play the role of a pressure fighter.. for this fight, i'm strongly leaning towards Trout because he has been tested and i see his movement, steady attack, and speed being too much for Canelo, who has a tendency of being lazy and gassing. but who knows, maybe we haven't seen the best of Canelo... same could be said for Trout too.. 60-40 in favor of Trout.. i'm riding with Trout either way, he's a cool dude..
I want to see Austin employ his best fin-work yet and outbox Canelo to the point of clowning him, a lot... 'Want', but am not very confident in it actually happening. Am partly with the crowd fearing Trout will have to win 4+ more rounds to even get a close decision. Still, WAAAR TROUT! ..."WAAAR" in the general sense of him winning convincingly, not stationarily warring like Canelo would prefer!
Thanks Trout's chin is solid as hell too, I think the early rounds might be close, but the later rounds will be all his, due to Canelo's shitty stamina. That jab will keep Canelo at bay during the early rounds where he is more active, once he gets tired and starts fighting in spurts like he always does, it is easy rounds for Trout. I'm thinking UD, although the GBP and the crowd all favor Canelo, lets hope this isn't a robbery... You're right that he will probably have to win extra rounds, Canelo will be spotted points that he doesn't deserve more than likely, but Trout still has this Canelo's downfall will be the fact that Trout will NOT allow him to fight in short little spurts, he will be pecking away at him non-stop, which Canelo won't handle well IMO.
Canelo's power will be a non-factor by the 6th round because he will be gassed and gasping for air.Trouts jab is key because it will score him points and keep canelo frustrated, once trout is up on the cards around the 8th canelo will be forced to become a pressure fighter and he's a counter-puncher which means trout will set traps and pick him apart.
Not to mention Trout's toughness is underrated, he can take a good shot when necessary, and keep coming. In the early rounds Trout will neutralize Canelo with his incredible jab and his great lateral movement, which is another great attribute of his that is underrated. Canelo is like Jean Pascal, in that they can fight really hard for a few rounds, but simply can't sustain. That kind of style doesn't work against a guy like Trout who won't let Canelo take his breathers, and will stay on his ass. Canelo is used to being the "bully" since he has been fighting little guys, won't happen with Trout, who is solid. If he does land anything clean early, Trout has the toughness to handle it. Nice analysis btw :good
10 P.M. ET / 7 P.M. PT EDIT: I'm sorry, got the fight time and weigh in time confused. That's the fight time tomorrow, weigh in is 3 P.M. ET today. Thanks to the people who corrected me. :good
@cyrax99,ty,i got nothing against canelo it's just that he has too many flaws for a skilled guy like trout and i always said that lara and trout are his worst matchups.I got trout by late tko and no matter the outcome, one thing that i'm 100% sure of is that trout will expose canelo and he wont be the same after this fight.
If this was politics and class warfare,i'd say i'm 99% trout will win,but i don't trust the greedy 1% who fix fights and buy judges lol.
What I don't like is how some guys like Trout have to earn everything they are given, while Canelo has been plummeted into superstardome for no reason at all. Why is he given so much credit, when he has been dragging all these guys up in weight? Trout atleast fights LEGIT people at the weight, and his win over Cotto is FAR BETTER than anything on Canelo's resume, yet Canelo is the one who is far more hyped? That's the part that bothers me...
