Ellerbe wanted to use the USADA..... do you think a contract to which the USADA are not a party is going to influence their protocol? Read their mission statement...they want to clean up drugs in sports...sometimes punishment is a strong deterrent....The NSAC can punish fighters under their jurisdiction.....I'll let you add 1 and 1 together.....atsch

 

You make some good points there about how he could put some of the stipulations in the contract into his favour but I bet Floyd cares more about his 0 then a few more million just my opinion anyway.

The NSAC reviews all the fighter contracts ....they approve them....do you think that they'd just let a fight contract with a clause that keeps them out of the loop and usurps their power is going to be sanctioned....atsch:rofl

You hit the nail on the head as far as the race argument goes. Who cares if the guy is black? He's a reporter doing his job.

 

You are acting as though the athletic commissions are all powerful. Nevada's is probably the most powerful due to their tax codes and "atmosphere", but if they got too "pushy" they can be avoided. Granted, MP/FMJ holds more weight than another set of fighters.

they do sanction the fights though and they read the contracts....I don't think...But I could be wrong....that a clause saying NSAC won't get results from a positive test conducted (by someone other than USADA) would go over to well with them....they have the power to say take out the clause or we won't sanction the fight....

I did. I have also done a bit of exploration on the doping aspect of this. I am a FMJ fan, but to your point, it would seem that this story would HAVE to be a fabrication. At the same time, Pac's hesitance becomes that much more logical.

All of these Olympic style (USADA) entities exist as third parties, linked world wide, and superseding the power of *all* organizations. So to mess up with them would be a world wide suspension. Analyzing this tactically? To ask for an exception would be foolish for a person of Arum's experience. To take a test with any testing organization greater than an athletic (national only) body would be foolish on Pac's part.

So this story seems to be factually garbage, but it further squeezes Pac.
