“Clearly Hatton would be a better fight, and Hatton would fare a little bit better (than De La Hoya) but the result will be the same. I think Manny will be more lethal at 140. He will be quicker and stronger and simply too much for Ricky Hatton. I wouldn’t be surprised if that fight ended faster than De La Hoya."

Of course they are going to say that. Pacquiao doesn't have what it takes to knockout a natural Junior Welter who isn't shot. I wouldn't count out a Manny win, but I don't see him carrying enough firepower to stop hatton. He had to land on Diaz about 1,000 times at 135 before he was finally taken out. People are overrating Manny due to his magnificant effort a few weeks ago, but Hatton is whole different story at 140.

Team Pacquiao is talking some serious ****. They earned it though,

But Pacquiao wouldnt knock Hatton out at 140. DLH, great victory, I take nothing away from Pac, but that wasnt exactly a hyper competitive version of Oscar. Hatton is in his prime and is equal (better actually) to Pac in strength and has fast hands. With Mayweather Sr, he is boxing again and actually has a defense now. He looked very good against Paulie and would be a very tough fight for Pac. 55-45 fight in my opinion, favoring Hatton.

    lifetime bet?

geeh, pacquiao carried hoya. he could have finished him off early.
not a single punch, but damn hoya was holding the rope already its good pac showed compassion. he was reluctant in finishing him. remember what roach said? "manny, i know he is your idol but it is your job to finish him." :hi:

    Hatton has an ace cutman.

If he was going to be stopped on cuts it would have happened a long time ago.

It's gonna be a great fight. Will be interesting to see how Pac handles someone who's gonna be on top of him the whole fight and if Hatton gets some of those crushing bodyshots off how he takes them.

Come to think of it how he handles Hattons power generally cause you can be sure as hell a lot of leathers gonna be coming his way unlike the DLH fight.

Also how Hatton deals with that akward style of Pac's, the more I think about this fight the more I lean towards a Hatton win. I think Pac may end up tiring due to the constant mauling/pressure that Hatton brings to the fight.

If Pac can keep hatton off him then maybe he wins, but PBF couldn't and he's more of a slickster then the Pacman.

I don't feel Hatton is as withdrawn from his best days as De La Hoya clearly was when Pacquiao fought him.

Manny has never ever fought at 140, whereas Hatton is undefeated at the weight and has beaten good opposition there. I will have to favor Hatton, who will bring more power than the Lightweights, and more pressure than perhaps anybody Manny has faced in his entire career. Manny has the speed, Hatton has the pressure, Manny has the left hand, Ricky has the body attack. I would expect a great two-way war.

Hatton by KO i think tho with the prices below i'd opt just to win. Best betting prices just now are....

    PAC 8/15 (11/8 for ko/tko)

    HATTON 7/4 (3/1 for ko/tko)

    whats everyone else think??

I'm wondering what you would say if pac KOes hatton?

Just curious... would finally give him his due credit? I'd be really pissed if i hear any excuses from you though.

Pac's team are already selling this fight. They would not put this info out there if they didn't intend to KO Hatton. Go Pac! :happy

If Pac wins this it would be the biggest win of his career, without question.

I agree about the selling part. I'm not sure if team pac is confident of a KO win but i'm sure they are confident enough to know that they have a fair chance of winning this fight.
