I don't think many boxing fans would buy it, in fact I doubt it would do more than Pacquiao did with Clottey.

Pacquiao may be vulnerable but you won't find many people who think Cotto is the man to take advantage of those moments.

I would gurantee the fight at the new weight with Manny Steward as cheif trainer would do over a million PPV buys.:yep The casual sports fan love Manny and the majority of the PPV buys dont come from us hard core boxing fans....when numbers reach close to a million the casual fans are tooned in:D

You honestly don't think they couldn't sell the rematch given the new dynamics in Cotto's situation? Rematch, Redemption, 8th world title in a higher weight class, Manny Steward as Cotto's new trainer......you can't see it doing more than Manny vs Josh?:huh

No.....all these fighters need to do is their job. And that's to shut the **** up, lace up and man up. If everyone knew their role this fight would have already been done.

I don't think it would for the simple reason people expect Pacquiao to cruise to another easy victory over him and would see it as not being competitive.

It's not as if the fight was close or Cotto got robbed, he got beatdown by a superior opponent and nothing has changed since then to make people think the outcome would be any different even if Cotto has got a new trainer, people thought Cotto had a good chance last time but you would struggle to find many who think he has much of a chance now.

I also think the Clottey fight would have put some of the casual fans off from buying another non competitive fight with Pacquiao.

750K in US PPV's for Josh vs PAC and everyone expected the same. For Manny to dominate...and Josh doesn't have a fraction of the popularity that Miguel has. But you could be right....I just don't see that as a likely possibility.

If Cotto pulls an upset by whooping his AZZ, would anyone still be interested in seeing Floyd beat down emmanuel?:think

are you nuts it would do more than the 1st one only because of the new experienced corner and better ppv numbers than the pac/clottey

First of all, having been under the cloud of possible foul play, there is a great 'revenge' aspect to a Cotto-Margo rematch. Plus, Cotto won the first seven rounds of the Margo fight making it an amazing comeback fight (irrespective of cheating). Meaning, a rematch is much more compelling than it would be for the one sided Pac-Cotto affair.

That pretty much sums it up!:good

Pac thrashed Cotto and Cotto has done much to get back into a position to warrant a rematch...It would be a different story if he fought top notch comp. to get back into position to fight Manny for a second time...I'm sorry, but beating Foreman doesnt cut it IMO...He needs a couple of more fights before he fights Manny again!
