Enzo Calzaghe and his son Joe, and Freddie Roach and Manny Pacquiao are potentially the best two tandems in boxing today. Which duo do you consider the more cohesive and self reinforcing? Which is the stronger unit; Team Pacquiao or Team Calzaghe? Objectivity please. This isn't about Manny or Joe. This is about the relationship between a cornerman and his fighter.

Calzaghe, and Calzaghe, they are planning on bringing a record out.

I already know your answer. Between the two you'd pick Pacquaio simply because you're in love with Bernard Hopkins.:hi:

How basic. Someone more clever would think I'm interested in this subject to manipulate the perception that I dislike Calzaghe by painting him in good terms. Neither are correct. I think Team Calzaghe is the best tandem in boxing because they are. No other reason.

I dont like Calzaghe but the one thing I'll say is that their training system, father and son in that little shed in wales, is one of the tightest unit's in the sport. **** me, Enzo doesn't know **** all about boxing, but he's managed to create a figher who's gone undefeated in 46 professional contests. That's impressive.

How stupid of me. And to think I just thought you were trying to start some smack and run interference while creating a poll that you know Calzaghe will lose, not unlike how BHop lost to Kessler in that other poll you started. I stand corrected. :bowdown

True. And how about Enzo in the corner during fights? He's real, he's raw, he's inspired, he's sharp as a razor - with Joe, Enzo is one of the best cornermen out there, period. Perhaps not so much with his other fighters, but with his son he's incredible.

You'd be a ****ing moron if you thought I would erect a poll that would fall in line with what I agree with.

Enzo is supremely confident be it partly due to ignorance or not, its very effective with Joe. Coming up to the De La Hoya fight, although Roach talked a lot of ****, i don't actually think he was overly confident, to be honest they both seemed shocked after the first round when they realised Pac was going to dominate Oscar.

Enzo and Joe are a very good combination, when your shitty with your old man, you don't want to give him any fuel to work with. So you push yourself even harder. Pac is simply a beast on his own, and although Roach works great with him, i think the longevity of Calzaghe's partnership with Enzo wins out.
