I’m not going to watch that but So what if there was dirty tricks?

Parker won 2 rounds at most against AJ, that weren’t down to dirty tricks, it was just inferior ability.

He came across as mr nice guy before this fight and a likeable fella, but I hope Dillian Whyte knocks him the **** out now for his pettiness.

I think he lost the fight but the sky commentary team liked to ignore a lot of the body shots Joe was landing early on throughout the early rounds. He clearly had the speed advantage over AJ. The referee was woeful, too. He wouldn't let them exchange on the inside.

He lost fair and square. When Whyte beats him what excuse will he have then?

Absolutely humble in defeat. Him and his team had every right to winge and moan but how gracious were they?

    Love it

    Yes.

118-111 I scored it. It was fairly comfortable.

That feels incredibly wide. I'll have to dig out my score but I certainly had it closer.

Did anyone else currently hovering this thread have it similar to Scissors? Can't recall what the consensus was with scoring

Some of it was a little shifty, not overly, most "away" fighters come up against more complications and dirty tricks, far more.

But a few little bits that seemed a tiny bit off like the wraps, AJ with the gloves, vaseline over the wraps, the referee was a joke, not his ability (well that is questionable) but the fact he could barely speak English in a fight of this magnitude with two fighters that speak English.

So the referee bothered me more than anything, he came across as clueless because of the language barrier.

Parker and his Team came across very well, they are obviously a very close bunch.

Interesting little film, worth a watch.

I had it closer but it was one of those fights that 118-111 does not truly reflect how close the fight was but i can see how people got the scorecard.

It was much closer. IB did a late RBR and his thinking was very much in line with mine for almost every round.

enjoyed that film. Like Parker, seems like a very honest and proper bloke, the type that would have time for the fans regardless who you support.

Ref was a joke, who was responsible for arranging that as it was terrible. Just that part where Parkers trainer is talking to him prior to the fight is a joke. I do remember during the fight AJ getting really annoyed with the ref also, he too wanted to work on the inside more.

I like that Parkers team acknowledged that he lost the fight rather than go down the sob story.

The AJ v Parker fight was exactly the same as Parker v Hughie 'Le Skirt' Fury fight with the correct winner announced in both fights.

Both defeated fighters never even attempted to engage during the fight and both were the tamest World Title defeats ever seen if we set aside Skippy Burns running away from Indongo.
