Releasing stupid movies making out he was somehow robbed and hard done by.

As someone said earlier in the thread, Joshua wanted to work on the inside too and was getting stopped. The ref was terrible but that was down to DUCO demanding a neautral ref. They had just fought Hughie with a British ref and had no problems so why the sudden demands? They can say matchroom done this and that but they were evidently trying to be awkward too.

I dont think you can accuse him of pettiniess for this. AJ complained about the ref, Parker complained about the ref, the sky team complained about him, Hearn complained as did Higgins. they were all correct

Parker said the ref didnt let him work on the inside and he didnt. He didnt say the ref cost him the fight

Boxing is a dirty business so if you participate in it you have to accept that or find something else to do . Yes the referee was poor and spoiled the fight for both boxers . AJ was able to execute his game plan better and use his height and reach to his advantage nothing mind numbingly out of the ordinary there. I would have thought someone as astute as Kevin Barry
seems would have forged a much better game plan for Joe Parker to get into range but even factoring the ref in I didn't see much science from Joe . We will get a better idea of where Parker actually is in his boxing ability when he fights Whyte .

Parker was only interested in wonga and simply never attempted to take the title from Tony Dosh during the fight.

Reminded me of the timid Toe effort in Hamburg

I only gave Parker two rounds and had him sharing one other, the rest were all Joshua. I've said since the fight that the referee breaking the action hurt Joshua more than it hurt Parker. If he'd let fight, AJ would of stopped him late.

Yes Pubs get screwed by Sky from all angles - don't know how many of them can afford Sky these days although the Bars are busy for PPVs with my national don't buy Sky PPV Army

I had it a bit closer but wouldn't argue with that card. Parker didnt win hardly any rounds clearly, if you give all the debatable rounds to AJ you could conceivably get that card.

The fight was a bit closer than that'd suggest though

Whyte won't beat him thats wishful thinking

Whyte was almost KO'd by Helenius.

Parker is way too quick and Whyte has poor defence and a crackable chin.

I like Whyte and hope he does win but this isnt a good fight for him.

My argument is that CLEARLY Joshua came into the ring to fight a long range game, it's just obvious, he didn't adapt on the fly to do that.

Parker can be a bit basic and I think his plan was to get in close and let his hands go. He was backing on his chin and when he was up close he was mostly coming off the better as he had far superior handspeed and we saw AJ unicycling round the ring to get away.

Coincidence how the ref basically played into joshuas game plan perfectly?

Again, if Joshua was clearly trying a boxer/puncher style and happy to get involved with parker like usual I'd say the ref ruined it for both fighters but he clearly wanted to stay out of range of parkers shots

And the ref helped with that.

cant totally agree with that bud, I remember at least two specific times in the fight where the ref split them up as they were about to let the hands go and AJ giving the ref a look, shaking his head and genuinely looking annoyed.

The thing that pi$$ed me off the most after watching that video was the ref confirming to team Parker he would let them fight on the inside and not just break them as soon as they were within 2ft of each other.

I personally think the ref ruined what could have been a very good fight. I also think that with the size difference the close fighting could have benefited AJ more, for me he has the heavier hands and the extra weight would have tired Parker more possibly.

Its all speculation like I said the ref ruined what could have been a great fight regardless of the result

Aye, that's true enough I suppose. 12 close rounds can have 120 cards towards both fighters
