Jack Lowe can be very full of himself sometimes, Calzaghe did'nt lack guts or confidence when he fought Hopkins. If Calzaghe lacked anything it was just knowledge of how much of a ring master Hopkins truly is which what many fighters have come to realize when facing Hopkins even in losing efforts Hopkins will always make his imprint in the fight known.

 

People keep "assuming" this will be the Calzaghe fight all over again. I keep trying to tell them Pavlik will make Bhop pay for staying inside. He has reach and knows how to use it. Joe met Bhop half way and allowed the clinch.

Calzaghe knew what to expect from Hopkins, he said before the fight it would be awkward and ugly.

However, knowing about and being able to do something about constant spoiling tactics are 2 different things.

Hopkins did what he did because he didn't want to be KOd.

Calzageh may not be a one-punch KO artist, but he can hurt you with his accumulation of punches, and Hopkins knew that.

Hopkins' pride will make him do everything in his power to stay upright for 12 rounds against Pavlik, so expect another messy, frustrating fight.

I understand your pain how can trainers, fans, critics talk more **** then the fighter:conf. who r they to talk ok maybe the trainer can talk **** a little since he help him prepare for fight. we dont wake up thinking i got to put my body thru hell to win a fight. you don't lace up your boots and gloves prepare to go 12 rounds. you just need to sitback grab your chesse sandwich out the fridge and enjoy the fight come saturday night:good

 

it just sounds stupid. alot of these trainers do it. and kelly dosent even seem like a big talker. if anything hes got a lot of respect for hopkins. and it aint gonna be easy knocking out hopkins.
