Team Povetkin Files Protest

I'd like t protest why Povetkin feels the need to not move his head. Klitschko could of got 12 points off on Saturday and still won.

 

I hope he wins

Well, they held all the keys to the Promotion how did it happen? :huh

Could it be that the Promoters don't actually handpick the officials like you told us they do? Just maybe?

Povetkin got bullied I am not sure why he didn't try some of these tactics himself. If I was to fight Wlad I would be rough with him and foul him until I received a warning to try and throw him off his game. You are allowed to do that there will always be a warning 99% of the time before a point is taken.

Not sure why someone doesn't just throw caution to the wind and say 'screw it' and go right at Wlad and try to blast him out. I thought Iggy might have tried that but he pussed out like all the others. He has the skills and ability to do that if he tried. You have nothing to lose as the challenger not sure why people are scared to go for broke in the first 2 or 3 rounds.

It is one reason I think Mago though crude and sloppy could give Wlad problems at least mentally and throw him off his usual game.

 

I wouldn't of been surprised if the ref held Povetkin's hands behind his back and let Wlad wail on him

 

Bernd Bounter got that ref put in there. Bounter said from the start they had demands and they wouldn't fight if they were not met. The ref was obviously one of those demands.
Bashir also said Povetkins team were amateur and missed a lot of things pre-camp they could of capitalized on. Povetkin messed up dropping Kosta Zoo and bringing in that other clown.

 

If you really watch the fight closer, you'll see that sasha, in most
cases, forced wlad to clinch in the front face lock because Povetkin
would come in so low more times than not to a man who's much
taller than himself. From a boxing standpoint, there's nothing a fighter
can do in defense of an opponent coming straight in at stomach level
EXCEPT clinch in a front face lock. You can't land an uppercut effectively
from that position, and any other punch is out of the question. Povetkin
was a bad style for Wlad to look good against, and i'm only interested
in seeing Wlad fight again IF he fights someone his height. The pulev
fight will suck too, but a Fury or Wilder fight would be entertaining.

 

No... Wlad clinched off the clinch. Popped out a double clinch and followed up with a straight clinch.
But , but , it was all Povetkins fault. Shut Up.

 

the same way he was jumping into wladimir with his head down below his waist so wlad couldnt land anything....surely going below waist is illegal itself is it not??..

the ref let povetkin get man handled tho when they came together he should have broke them up quicker..its just aswell wlad wasnt a really dirty fighter or povetkin wouldnt be boxing again any time soon

You're not alone in this observation. That is what I took from it as well. I didn't see it as Wlad initiating the clinching, only grabbing when Povetkin would put his head down and bull rush in.

 

Nothing will come of it but I would agree with Povetkin and I sort of like him protesting the ref.

Pabon was awful and let Wlad do anything legal or illegal that he wanted to in there. If I were a future Wlad opponent I wouldn't have Pabon as the ref.

 

protest Povetkins gay ass fight plan. rush in and land no punches, get tied up and repeat 150 times. lose by one of the worst shut outs in history

 

Povetkin should take his rematch, I said it from I saw the fight. He can beat klitschko, and certainly could have given him a run for his money had klitschko actually had to fight him

 

great protest...that ref should never make another dime...that was disgraceful
