I'm hearing rumors that Povetkin took another fight instead of Wilder, where is that coming from and is it true?

Wilder wants to fight again in March or April. Povetkin's team is talking "before late summer." (AGAIN ... another SEVEN OR EIGHT MONTHS from now).

    Freaking cowards.

Povetkin's team has been consistent: "Wilder looked terrible to us, but we need eight months to prepare for him."

    :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl

To be fair, he probably would. I'll give you that. But given how Stiverne went life and death with and got dropped by a featherfisted journeyman, I could easily say the #1 cruiserweight is a better fighter than him.

Really? Bragging with his win over shot Harrison who was already KTFOd in 1 by David Price? Are you serious? Shot Chris Byrd and faded Larry Donald are much better wins than that.

Care to explain, how could he get the fight for september when WBC made it clear that they wouldn't order the fight until october, especially when their offer was already declined before and Wilder's team stated that he needed two fights before taking on Povetkin? The only time they could've pressed the fight is january but Ryabinsky decided to make the fight for may/june. It's not a right thing to do for a challenger but whoever has the money, they get to callthe shots these days.

Lol at these moronic and delusional Wilder fans claiming it has
been Povetkin holding up this fight. It's like the democratic
party and facts. Neither want to face FACTS.

Well, now they want if for late summer.

Which, since this is January ... is seven to eight months from now.

    Take off the blinders.

Everyone knows Wilder's schedule. He was going to fight in September, and he did. He was going to fight in January, and he did. He plans to fight in late March/early April ... SIX MONTHS AFTER POVETKIN's LAST FIGHT ...

And Povetkin needs MORE TIME. He can't fight six months after his last fight. That's not enough time to prepare for the pathetic Wilder.

    Late summer now.

Povetkin is a joke. Every heavyweight in the room got in front of the microphone Saturday night ... but Povetkin. Who sat quietly, and then left.

WAY to drum up publicity for the fight Alexander. By ducking out early and saying nothing ... and having your promoter come out and say they need another eight months. :hi:

Another eight months? Povetkin's promoters just said it yesterday that the negotiations are going well just hours ago, that the trainigs are already began and they're planning to come to America three weeks before the fight to complete the trainings. What the hell are you talking about?

The guy who ISN'T fighting IS holding up the fight.

The guy who keeps fighting every two or three months certainly isn't.

If Wilder had not taken a fight after Povetkin beat Perez ... and waited for Povetkin to sign ... Wilder wouldn't have fought for a whole year already.

    Wilder isn't holding up anything.

Yes, negotiations are going well for a fight before LATE SUMMER.

    Late summer isn't April.

"The fight will definetly take place before the late summer." Seems to me he was talking about the worst case scenario. But if you wanna take it that way, sure.

Go all the way to negotiate, agree to go to the opponent's backyard, even make the training camp plan, and they're avoiding it. Sure. :hi:

If you're planning to fight in April ... you don't say the fight will take place before LATE SUMMER.

Again, if Wilder had waited for Povetkin to sign, his last fight would've been in January 2015. And he'd still be waiting for a LATE SUMMER 2016 date.

Your blinders will have to come off sooner or later.

There's always someone late to the parade. :hi:

If Wilder's camp say "we made and offer for april/may" and Povetkin's team counter's with "we want it for late summer", then you'd be right. But I think you should calm down for now.

Again, how could Wilder's last fight be in last january when It was Povetkin's team that made an official offer and it was Wilder's team that stated he needed two fights before taking on Povetkin? :hi:

You should think about who the blinder actually is. And how about that proof on the offer to Jennings that was refused? :hi:

    I will calm down.

Povetkin is up next. His promoter says he's "in training." So we "know" he's already in camp.

Let's see how long of a "camp" Povetkin needs to get ready for the worst heavyweight champion ever.

Is eight weeks enough? 12 weeks? 16 weeks? How many weeks until an August date? 28 weeks in camp? 32 weeks in camp?

    He's on the clock.

What do you expect them to say? Povetkin is going to get his *** kicked? Stiverne and his bunch wasn't impressed either, but he got his butt handed to him.

Szpilka was a mobile southpaw who mostly stayed away from Wilder and threw a lot of ineffective punches when he did come in. When he tried to make something happened he got KTFO.

Povetkin is a different kind of fighter, Wilder's problems with Spzilka are not an indication of how that fight will go.
