Decibel, Maxime and Thunder will roll there eyes now but facts:

    - Bute was up at 8 (but in no condition to fight - but didn't matter, because the fight was over)
    - "Saved by the bell" means, that if you are "not" up when the fight/round is over, the count will continue. If you are not up before 10, its a KO.

Problem is the "Bute schooling Andrade" resume of the fight. It was a compatible fight against 2 very different fighters. Bute won 10 rounds, bot lost 2 rounds 10-9 and 10-8. 117-110 Bute.
Bute was nearly KO at last, but it was not the result of the last 2 rounds but of 12 intense and even rounds. Therefor i think, Andrade wins next time. He will put more pressure from start, and a prober referee will not aloud Butes holding and grabbings of arms and legs!!!

I hope, and think that you are right:good
A prime Mads Larsen would have toyed with the likes of Bute, theese days im not too sure...he relies a lot on hes reflexes and speed, is that gone?

This is not to put Bute down, i would call a prime Larsen VS Kessler a toss up.

And btw Mads Larsen has moved to Berlin Germany, left wife and kid, only to train, eat and sleep...So he is pretty serious.

Dont underestimate Larsen. Bute could be in for a surprise with a hostile crowd in Denmark and so on.

If he can find some of his old-school boxing skills again it could be an interesting match up.
Larsen is 35-36. Hes not over the hill regarding his age. And be sure he will be ready for this bout. Mads Larsens problem has always been his lacy attitude regarding training probely before a fight. (he was a model for some male underwear in his prime and very popular man among women ) It was hard for him to handle.

This time he will be ready thou its his last chance.

If he wins Kessler sais hes ready for him.

In his prime he was a very talented boxer - maybe even better than Kessler.

Well, Jan, I almost rolled my eyes too! I think that if you rewatch the fight, you'll notice that Andrade is charging (I could say pushing, tackling) Bute. When he is not, Bute doesn't need to hold. Look again at Andrade, when he charges, he's not placed to hit, he's too close from Bute. So, if the ref is good, he won't let Andrade do that and Bute won't have to hold. Who wins then?

Bute wanted to fight at distance, Andrade on the inside. Bute fought a Ottke fight. 2-3 punches and hold and grab, 2-3 punches and hold and grab ...... all night long. Does Bute normally fight like this?
I think Bute was under pressure from round one. He was holding, grabbing the legs ??? and more than ones pulling Andrade in to him with grabbing him on the back of the head??? Obviously Bute wanted to throw some punches, and then hold on the inside, only to make the ref call a break so he could look good at the distance.

Rematch: A different referee - an different fight.

But first Bute has to overcome old Larsen, who was a very skilled and talented fighter :smooch

Doesn't Bute get two defenses before his mandatory?

Are you out of your fuc.... mind!!??:patsch Mads, in his prime, was a very solid fighter, BUT Kessler is in a whole different league! Bute is the main contender to the No 1 SMW spot , and Larsen, at this late stage of his career, will get his ass whopped all night long. It's really a mismatch, IMO. Just wait and see.

    Cheers from the objective Dane:hi:

I think it's a question of time. He may have time to defend twice before his mandatory. But as he fought in October and will probably fight in March, he may not have time to fight another optional. It depends of when Andrade-Tsypko takes place.
