Its terrible people are slagging down Stephen lets not forget the kid went up to Glasgow and won the fight with Simpson and I believe that in the rematch Simpson never done just enough to take it back again not Smiths fault. The last fight he was struggling with everything but lets not take anything away from what has been a great and still is effort by all the lads in the family If I was a Smith I would be dead proud.
And Paul is not is not the first and wont be last fighter to shout out before engaging his brain, still great achievments with more to follow.

Stephen has lost his last 3 fights now IMO, never been overly impressed with him. He did do well in a short career so far though

He beat Simpson and drew second time around IMO.

Smith clearly has a better claim over the two fights

I think Smith has lost his last 3 fights but he is skilled, talented and comes to fight. I want to see him back though.

People on here have never been fans of Stephen Smith, even before his loss to selby he wasnt liked. For a celebrated amateur he does alot of jab then hug style boxing without much variety.

What I didnt like was Smith fist pumping after every round against Selby, like he was well in control.

Selby was teeing off on him all night, caught him flush and put him out.

Then after the fight Smith says Selby isnt in his league. Dellusional. No class

He fights in a similar way to Paul Smith. That's not good if you're trying to win fans over.

I haven't seen much of Stephen and didn't see the Selby fight but I find Paul unwatchable. All I've ever seen him do is throw massive right hands that miss by miles, then clinch and wait for the ref to call break. Somewhere along the way there's a clash of heads due to the holding and mauling so he ends up with blood streaming from one or both eyes...that's about it. I'm ****ed if I'm gonna sit and watch that for 12 rounds.

Think Stephen Smith (& family) still have a lot to offer boxing, I would think he will be back in the saddle soon.

For what its worth thought Simpson won in Glasgow and Smith won in Liverpool IMHO

was sat in the very next seat to his dad last sat ( talk about awkward )
spoke to his younger brothers to and they all seemed like nice lads to be fair.
i like swifty but in his last 3 fights he seems to make life hard for himself and forgets to use his boxing ability. i reckon he'll be back though, saw liam smith box last weekend and he looks a good prospect so we'll see.
but bottom line is everyone is way to harsh on him! he's only had about 12 fights and is written off already !!

Who is slagging off Stephen Smith...most people are merely pointing out that if you stand static in front of someone you are going to get hurt, the way he did. Regardless of what Dan says SS maybe just scraped the first fight and lost fairly clear in the 2nd against Simpson

Stephen and Paul both seem to be idiots. It was funny how everybody was making out what a good performance it was by Liam Smith, he is awful.

I thought stephen beat simpson in both fights, obviously they where close only 1 or 2 points in them, he can come back and get up to about european level I think
