    Bute is denied the exact fights he can prove himself in.
    Kessler/Pavlik/Ward and who know maybe Froch to, I hope not Froch he seems the only option here, cuz Dirrell isn't fighting on ESPN for no reason (showtime don't like him no more).

    Pricing worthy opponents out of a legit match isnt Bute getting denied the fights he can prove himself in..

    Financially it was ridiculous.

    The money is far far bigger if the fight is in Denmark - or at least Europe where the PPV can still be huge. If in the US the time difference will spoil the PPV and Ward doesn't draw enough to even have it on PPV in the US.

    In Europe there would be:

    Higher PPV income
    More spectators in seats
    At higher ticket prices

    Overall, it makes much more sense.

    Why is Bute number 1? Because all the rest are ducking him sartisson, stieglitz, pavlik, kessler and now the great sog ward is scared like a *****.

    Ward is a duck! I hope he ll lose in the final, only Froch and Johnson have ballz.

    -Not according to this press statement from Sauerland (copied from the front page of this site....

    "World Boxing Council (WBC) Super Middleweight Champion Emeritus Mikkel Kessler (44-2, 33 KOs) has moved his training camp to Southern Spain. Together with his trainer Jimmy Montoya, the Viking Warrior will continue the preparation for the November 5 clash against WBO Champion Robert Stieglitz (40-2, 23 KOs) in the Spanish sun."

    BTW: Kessler poses with a WBC belt on all publicity shots for the Stieglitz fight...

    Fair point. But even Johnson wasnt happy with the purse and said so.

    With Kesslers team, Pavlick and Johnson all at least saying they arent/wasnt happy with the terms on offer. It tends to support the argument that the reason the fights with Bute didnt come off was not that they re all running scared of the Canadian/Romanian superman

    The easiest way to duck someone is by saying that the purse is too low. A blind scared ***** kessler and an alcoholic with brain damage pavlik wanted more money.

    So Ward was worthy enough to enter the S6 , but Bute needs to prove himself to have a shot at him?! This is bull****! Showtime wants Bute vs. S6 champion , so VH's point is laughable.

    The thing is that Kessler is not listed as emeritus in the WBC rankings of September, which is odd as the emeritus tag is a lifelong title according to their own rules.

    I have asked the WBC what this is all about and they said they'll get back to me shortly.
