If not for Pavlik's efforts we would not even be talking about a Pavlik/Williams fight. However, this thread is not about money or which fighters might win what fights, or any of that. Goosen took a position against a rematch clause with KP. Now he has taken a position that demands a rematch clause with Martinez or Clottey. Furthermore, the only reason PW is a two time welterweight titlist is because Quintana gave him a REMATCH!! That is blatant hypocrisy.
It was Williams who started it all back then, team Pavlik accepted only to ditch the fight because Williams demanded more money than he previously mentioned and that's coming out of Arum's mouth so you never know how much truth there is. Then they went on to TRY and make a fight with Mayorga only to get the "NO" sign from HBO who offered them other guys and made it clear they're not hosting another tomato can affair like the Lockett one.
i'm also glad the mayorga fight didnt get made. but you know very well that the lockett fight was a part of bigger plan to get his stablemate in the ring afterwards who had been calling kelly out repeatedly for months and months. but yes, lockett is a can.
Why do you bother with Scar? I cannot fathom putting Ray Hogan and Mr Hu on ignore, and then lowering yourself to arguing with a **** sucking scum bag like scar.
I just realized u r obsessed wit KP! Well, he's a really gud fighter and champion! I think he's 2 big 4 PTP, but hey, Paul can fight!
Ray might actually get off. Some of the stuff I've seen quoted indicates he may have settled down. Scar used to be a good poster, but he seems to have gotten stuck on stupid lately when it comes to Pavlik.
Go to google and look for links yourself. Why the hell would I fake such information?, google is out there a quick search should expose me as a liar. http://sports.yahoo.com/box/news?slug=ki-pavlik052808&prov=yhoo&type=lgns&print=1 With no obvious major challenger remaining for Pavlik at middleweight Arum said other options for Pavlik if he is successful against Lockett are Ricardo Mayorga, Marco Antonio Rubio and Arthur Abraham Arum likes the idea of pursuing the big-money match against Calzaghe. That's one link, there's more, go look for them.
if I was poor, and lived in a trailer park, that would have absolutely no bearing on what athletes I favor or follow. your trailer trash rhetoric is assinine and irrelevant. However, I am not poor and do not live in a trailer park. In fact, I have a shoes that probably cost more than your car, that is, if you're old enough to drive.
So wait, you're saying that Pavlik took the fight intending to pull out of it, and has been faking injury?
Actually i've been on ESB since 2005 but never decided to sign up for the forum because it seemed littered with Idiots after years of reading through some of the post!! I've even seen myself come down to the Level's of Hermit the Crab and even you! Too many double standards and hipocrites!!
So out of that list you drop Abraham and Calzaghe and focus on Mayorga? WFT dude? You keep making it sound as if it was THE fight they were pursuing. You know Arum throws out names like trick-or-treat candy.
