I'm not talking about wild swing for the fence club swingers that swing with insane effort and have crazy concussive power without technique.

I'm talking about the skilled fighters with Average to Decent speed with Very very respectable punching power but they maintain their punching technique/accuracy at a maximum for just about every punch they throw.

In terms of the guys that have the technique but you can count on their punches really doing some powerful damage...Who are they and how do you rate them?

Basically make a list of fighters with a average to good speed(Not super fast) but they have a great Technique:power ratio.

Heres a few if you can list more and rate them it would be interesting :good

    Miguel Cotto
    Israel Vazquez
    Fernando Montiel
    Rafael Marquez
    Jorge Arce
    JuanMa Lopez
    Soto

Mayweather does fit that now I suppose he doesn't really rely on his speed so much at a higher weight, has to fight more off technicality than his reflexive speed. I never saw Bute fight honestly so I didn't add em.

But I was more aiming at fighters with that compact forceful punch, Floyd is technical but I'm talking about these maniacs that really destroy fighters physically with their punches.

pavlik although he has a lot of power. so does cotto. if ur lookn for someone who throws a lot of punches, not really A LOT of power but more of the accuracy and consistancy, for some reason Joel Casamayor is coming to my head

In his days at middleweight and super middleweight, james toney would be a prime candidate for this list IMO

I cant believe Rafa Marquez was not included in this.
The mans jab has enough power to wobble his opponents.
I love his punches they are so compact.

    Ha oh **** my bad.

What about Soto? I think he has great form yet packs alot of power in his punches too. Just ask Lorenzos face. It looked like it was beaten by a bat.

Yup I was gonna add Soto as well.. Good pick..

Although some of the fighters that people are mentioning aren't really what I was thinking.

The guys that I listed really do some vicious damage but they're very very sharp and compact punchers. Thats what I meant. Like Pavlik, he is a brutal hard puncher with nice straight shots but they aren't extremely sharp, and his hooks to not compare to the technique at which those fighters I listed above throw their hooks with.

I know what you mean. Thats the type of fighters i like. Im not a big fan of guys that wing their shots. They look like idiots and while it still generates the same damage the chances of you hitting your opponent cleanly decrease.
