Technical/tactical fighters that weren't as great as their talent made you believe?

Anthony Small - "ooh look at him dodge the punches, wow nice jab nice combos...now stop being relaxed and step up a gear...oh thats...thats all you have okay". at one time he looked really good had a solid punch could box a bit (if you call it that) liked to move liked to use his speed...but then you notice that he doesnt seem to have an upper gear, and his defence was more openings than [insert girls name here] legs.


lucian bute - the next comign of calzaghe was what somone said. his stoppage of berrio was great then a so so perfomance against a well out of prime joppy,then you see him almost/getting sparked by andrade cements my belif that he wont go too far...but he has all the tools to get by and succeed.


Eddie Chambers - i loved his style, great counter skills fantastic handspeed and even tho not a great puncher was great fun to watch in his inside boxing mode. then became more placid somtime plodding or running in some of his later fights.


i dont know if khan counts due to it being a chin issue than talent or tech skills, but he was the next great lightweight,light welter and welterwieght champ of the world. great physique massive reach and hiegth blistering speed in hand and foot, solid power and a good boxing brain...and most of all commited. but that ****ing left hook that sparked him was like it was swung form mars. and the punch that dropped him against gomez was just him holding his head way way way in the clouds. guy has simply got to learn...and aswell as accepting that he can be knockdown, hurt and sparked.
