    Is that right?
Roach has stated Martinez to be good athletically but with limited boxing skill!
I guess now Roach's mind has been brought down to equate Pacroid with Martinez! :yep

    the sjs school of thought.....

    do a 4 month camp

make him lift plenty of weight to get his power up

have him throwing 400 punches per round on the bag

that should do the trick.

Well, with Arum and Sulaiman behind you, anything is possible. How about 30 extra pounds on fight night, no glove check, small ring and a group for the urine test just in case lol!!!

chavez fans, don't get mad, i didn't make up any of this.

Chavez Jr. will be frustrated by Sergio's speed (both punch and foot work). That's all I can say.

Its very possible, but certainly not a given!

I view this as the type of intrigueing matchup scenario where I would'nt be suprised to see either fighter come out dominating the other.

JCC Jr fight plan should be to fight aggressive and wearing guys out with his physical strength, which has been his fighting style so far. If Sergio is not worn out he will win this fight. Sergio is much better than Andy Lee.

Chavez has the size advantage, and has to use it. He can't just walk straight to Martinez and expect to have him against the ropes to unload on him. Martinez movement is too good for that. Martinez will most likely wait for his chance to attack by staying just out of range, Chavez has to take this play away from him. Start fast, plenty of head movement and feinting with the feet.

The most important punch in this bout IMO for Chavez is the jab, Martinez is not the hardest to hit with this punch, and he is not the most elusive boxer in the world (don't let his hands down style fool you/his reflexes are not as good as you may think). A number of boxers have had success with the jab against him recently, Barker had a lot of success with it. Chavez needs to throw it to body and head on his way in, if he tries to close the range like he did against Lee without getting shots off, or at least making Martinez think/work...he will be picked off by powerful counters. Jabs and straight rights on the way in, combinations starting and ending with the left hook to body and head.

Although I think the jab is very important in this bout, he can have success by leading with the straight right IMO. Martinez circled to his left a lot in his last bout, almost always trying to keep superior foot placement though. Chavez throwing the lead right could land consistently, or at the very least allow him to close the distance and catch Martinez against the ropes. On the ropes is where Chavez will have his most success. No doubt Martinez's plan is to stay clear of them though.

If I was Martinez I would fight Chavez with a drugs test, get an even playing field and then just beat the living granny out of him when he plods forward.

I'm Chavez I don't bend to my right unless I'm throwing a R.Hook to the body or clinching.
Sergio likes to back up and throw that straight left when his opponents lean.

Smother Sergio, initiate the clinch & don't allow "him" to clinch you.
(Push him off when your done positioning him)
^Tho I hate to admit it Cotto was able to push Margo off alot during their second fight.
    Do that ****.

Pound that body & trap him against the ropes.
If Serge opens up... Make him pay by hitting his belly.

Older Sergio is clumsy in the ring & often trips over his opponents.
Keep your right hand up/tucked & work the hooks Body/head.
Then when Sergio gasses out around RD 6, unleash the str8 rights.
