Technique level between Russian/Cuban and American/UK fighters

The breakthough is relatively new and a lot of Ukranians don`t become boxers, if they could open gyms in the US it would really benefit American fighters, it`s a shame the war has probably ended all that though.

 

There's been plenty of great american trainers and still are, you missed Eddie Futch.

 

Norton wwas a good boxer and Futch helped him to thwart Ali`s style, however his other fighters like Mccullough Bowe were reckless and got hit too much.

 

EE fighters punch through their target. While American fighters are all trying to copy Floyd Mayweather and pull their punch back as quick as possible. I'd rather hurt what I hit.

 

Huh. i had the opposite impression, guys like Klitschko and Beterbiev excepted of course. Maybe I'm still living in the era of Tyson and Bowe and Lewis and Holyfield

I see your point about size, but I don't think that is the only thing that makes Spence successful.

 

US fighters are now trained to pull their hand back as soon a they punch and go back in a safe guard in the amateurs now, it`s a big problem, Cus taught Mike to punch with bad intentions.
