How to increase handspeed? I already: Hit the double end bag and shadow box. Would using handweights while I shadow box increase my speed? I have heard mixed opinions on this.

When you say heavybag drills, would soft, fast punches or hard punches be the best to use? Or mixing it up?

stuff like this can be used to improve conditioning which will enable you to throw faster punches for longer and then the rest comes down to skill and technique

Weights don't make ur punches faster but alternating punching with them and without them has been proven to develop rate of acceleration in muscles.

Bruce Lee....is a major inspiration to me. I have a book of his training techniques, very useful.

That won't increase speed, that will increase endurance.

Punch in very slow motion emphasising relaxation of antagonistic muscles
Keep repeating until you start to lose form, then rest and repeat

Of course! Training very slow makes you very fast! I'll have to make sure I tell this to the local sprinters :good
