Well, this post will show up before poll, so I'll make it brief. Technology probably exists that would allow punches to be scored for landing and also how hard they landed. Would this be good for boxing in terms of scoring?

Edit: Obviously this would have to be well tested before implementation. At worst, it could aid compubox stats.

Main problem with open score cards is fan reaction influencing, or even intimidating judges to vote a certain way. For example, they give fighter a round, crowd screams obsenities, boos, next round judges may be afraid to score a close round against that fighter. This would happen a lot especially in towns where a fighter is home town guy and is losing close fight.

I really don't think that this kind of technology exists. At least, nothing that could do it in real time and score a round within a minute after it's happened.

I know they built some pressure sensors into a robotic arm. It kept the arm from breaking eggs when it picked them up. I think the best approach would to be convince the people at compubox to give it a try in some low level fights. Can't be anyworse than they do now. ;) I see 'power shots' and cringe. Guy throws a 50 "power shots" and never wobbles an opponent?
