Its shocking to see the idiots that have brought into the hyoe though.45,000 ticket sell out is no joke. His our own De La Hoya of sorts.
He was also complaining about Joe cortez in The Sun again today. Moaning that he would'nt let him "fight his fight" Well no Ricky, because what you do belong's in MMA, not a boxing ring. You dirty box better than Randy Couture. Hatton needs to focus on giving boxing fan's what they want and what the sport wants. Not givign his tuthuggers what they want. His fight with Lazcano is not what boxing fan's want, and if his nuthuggers knew the score they would'nt want it either.
Cue "Hatton is not allowed a comeback fight after a big loss" thread #67 Not that it'll matter now this thread has been hijacked by the Hatton obsessives, but I enjoyed the Bami-Barnes fight, pretty interesting without (admittedly) being too exciting.
And the ones unfortunate enough not to be there can watch on PPV. He's lost the support of the hardcore fan but he doesn't care. Hatton's fans cant separate what they see on friday night down the boozer with what they see in the boxing ring so Hatton's style is pleasing for them. The rest of us, of course, understand that it is not a fight but a boxing match under the Marquis of Queensbury rules.
Well Taylor was quick enough to get back in the ring with the man who destroyed him so why can't Hatton fight someone worth a toss? He's fought enough bums and grandads over the years.
Hatton will retire with quite a messy, unsatisfactory resume. To be honest I hope he only fights Witter & loses because I'm not sure I could bare to watch the horific beating he would get from Cotto.
For every Taylor that fought a Pavlik after a big loss, theres many more fighters who take the warm-up/ comeback/ tune up fights approach in that situation. Its been an accpepted way of getting over a big loss for years and years...... Anyhoo, I've been around in circles with this argument too many times already.
Thats one of the things that I've noticed recently, people think they come across as more 'hardcore' and as 'proper' boxing fans if they rag on Hatton. Some of the critism is vaild but a lot of it is ridiculous and just comes across as posturing.
I've alway's thought "confidence builders" were bull****. Hatton and all the other fighters who do it have had enough BS "warm up/confidence" builder fight's. Hatton's just muging off his huggers again and thats it! :yep:
I'm not one of the people you are referring to though. I've supported & crtiticised Hatton in equal proportions. I've also almost certainly watched more fights than a lot of his "fans". There's no agenda here it's just I got frustrated with too many WBU defences & am now frustrated again with his arrogance.
